3:00 absolutely nailed me. I literally walked out of the Converse store after buying my 70s and saw someone outside wearing regular chucks and had those exact thoughts of "wow, that person must not know what they are missing" and a brief feeling of superiority before remembering that they are still just chucks and my style still sucks :p

That Converse description Is scarily accurate, my favorite pairs of shoes I own are my Mustard Chuck 70s. Wardrobe of Neutral/Pastel colors, Glasses, Geeky Ambivert. Spot on

I went from wearing Nike to Converse and Van's. Swapping out shoes never bothered me, but it did take a bit of time to get used to running in them due to the thin padding. But I always enjoy throwing in a Jordan or regular Nike high top in the mix. Especially in winter.

My dad got me into converse and now I feel like I’d betray him if I wore anything else. We have this bond over the brand, in fact I just got him a new pair this year for Father’s Day. Though for once they weren’t the 70s version! I had gotten a pair of custom converse in black suede, built for all weather with some tread. Something slightly different but with the same old converse look that kept my feet and butt dry in the PA winter (if you’ve worn regular converse before, you know how slippery they are, especially on ice). My dad liked the extra padded look on them so much he wanted something like them. So I got him some hi tops that are more like van’s high tops. The extra cushion makes them easier to slip on and just more comfy all around imo, and he loved them! I’m slowly opening his mind to different styles, still in the converse brand though. Don’t want to overwhelm him too much 😂 I think I might get him some with some treads like mine for Christmas.

Is scary how right you are about me having converse chuck 70 in multiple colourways. I do indeed wear Redwing boots in fall/winter and I’m into selvedge denim and have a few low top chuck 70’s 😅. But my favourite colour is still the black high top of the 70’s and I don’t consider myself a hipster. Converse is just a shoe I’ve been wearing for the last 20 years since I was like 4 and it’s easy to wear. But I do have some other sneakers too. I’m also a bit of an introvert 😅👍🏻

I wore Converse pretty often in middle school. My school had a black and white uniform so the colorful shoes spiced up the outfit. I had a purple pair (my favorite), an orange pair and a yellow pair. Except they were literally clown shoes on me. They were hand me downs from a friend of my moms who was traveling in South America for a while and were 2 sizes too big for me (I wore an 8 and they were a 10). Someone could step on the front of them and my toes would be completely fine. When my moms friend came back she took them back which my mom was angry about because she thought they were a gift but I was fine with getting a pair of shoes that would actually fit. 😂

I am a devout converse wearer and this is the most accurate thing i’ve ever seen. Chucks are pretty amazing though, since you can wear them with anything and they look good.

Keep up the great content always learning something from your videos. Would like to see something on styling button up shirts as i do think they are massively underrated these days. A nice overshirt or flannel etc can really dress up your outfit. Looking forward to your next stuff

And when you mentioned Neutral colours, I looked straight into my wardrobe only to realize about 80% of it is in fact Neutral colors and earth tones.

Mine is either still very black/dark colors, or very bright colors. Ive never liked earth tones unless I'm having my room painted. But even then, its still really dark and muted colors.

I've been wearing Vans most of my life because they always fit well and I can hop on a board if I want. But I had no clue that it was a thing for Vans wearers to wear straight jeans. The converse skinny fit jeans look is a classic though. Pretty spot on
