To answer that, tell us honestly, was that drive even 1/10th as enjoyable as it would have been had you been on the track? It's a great car, but like you've said many times, no fun until you're pushing it way beyond legal speeds. I would say GT3 Touring, honestly.

You need to possess an almost biblical level of restraint to drive one of these on public roads. Base Carrera is enough for me.

Definitely true. I can't believe I haven't been to jail yet in my slow-ass Lexus IS. It's just so much fun to drive a sports car like you stole it, especially when I get jobs in the mountains and nobody else is on the road. Best "track days" ever.

@@LordPrometheous Lexus IS isn’t slow, more like mid tier sports car depending on if u get an F sport. IS250/200T is slow, 350 not so much.

@@barrymccockner3683 well that makes mine officially slow (IS250). It's fun to drive, though, and cornering is always a blast when flying through the moubtains at the limit. It's probably why I've changed the brakes 3 times in 2 years.

There’s definitely no replacement for a Porsche, but I believe there are 3 makes that are the pinnacle, there’s no tier with them cause they’re all equal in quality: Rolls Royce, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg

What a beast of a car. I remember just over a decade ago when the 997 GT2 with 520 HP was called a widow maker. Now we have one with nearly 200 more horsepower. What a time to be alive!

loved the cyclist message! I'm a cyclist myself but I also love cars (even a bit more than i love cycling) We just need to be considerate towards each other... that's the only solution. On my bike I stay as far right as possible and show thumbs up to cool cars and in the car I overtake cyclists carefully and if they show a thumbs up I let them hear a downshift and some lovely music ;)

Agreed. I'm not a hardcore cyclist, but I ride my mountain bike around town, and see cool cars, give a thumbs up, and get a little rev if I'm lucky.

White and blue accents or black would've been crisp. Red feels like you're trying to have Superman colors

Impossible as a fan of Motorsport not to love this car. The Miami blue with the red interior is wild but fits the demeanor perfectly.

The blue exterior with the red/orange interior is just not it imo

It's so bad... Red/orange and (not fucking baby pastel) blue only work when actively contrasting, like in sci-fi. This is just clashing and it hurts my dumb little art brain. Why would someone do this??

You have to be a Porsche fan..the light blue cars with wild interior..those are nice..the back is all anyone else will see

Drove this in Vegas at the dream course. What you can’t appreciate from the video is the turbo whoosh. It’s like a plane taking off. The speed and shifts are just indescribable.

I love that we have a legit MA-based auto YTer! It’s fun seeing some of these great cars being tossed a bit on familiar roads. Although, I definitely feel the pain of there not being a lot of places where it’s easy to open up. Even with my 997.2S it’s not easy to find a place to really carve safely, gotta get pretty far up into NH/VT to get to the really good ones.

God I love this sound. It's not screamy at all, more muscular, strong, and just overall impressive.

The Turbo S is a great car but compared to this car and the GT3, it’s pretty boring. Blisteringly fast, yes. But just boring compared to the GT2 and GT3. Especially the GT3 manual. IMO.

Ok I really love this spec hahaha! Great vid as always.

Love seeing that spirited driving with n this type of car 👏! It may not come across to many just how difficult this is to execute on a public motorway without getting caught, causing or getting in accident, or just pissing fellow motorists off. Great job!

There was a 2018 GT3 at my last autocoss event. The sound was amazing. It was the second fastest that day next to a Shifter kart

This might be the first time I've watched a youtube video and clearly recognized some of the locations -- the copper house tavern at the beginning of the video used to be one of my stomping grounds back when I was travelling to mass regularly. Miss the Lexington area!

It’s crazy how fast things have gotten, roads over in western mass are a little more open but you still can’t put your foot down for very long at least if you don’t want to go to jail for the rest of your life. Some of the roads you took in the video I’ve been on and the difference is just massive.

Awesome vehicle, this 911 GT2 RS or 2013-2015 Porsche 918 Spyder. This 911 GT2 RS is still selling on some websites like Dupont Registry for $399,995. Which is very steep but for what this vehicle can do far as performance it is definitely worth the price of admission. Tedward thank you again for providing videos for everyone that is considering this car for a future purchase. Keep up the great work of all the automotive videos you put on youtube 5 star.
