    Out of all the reviews I really prefer this one. You guys hit the points on how it excels at what it is supposed do. Be a cheap, fuel efficent means of transportation. That's that. Meanwhile everyone is complaining it's not a speed demon, it does not have this or that. It's the cheapest car for a reason and again you guys highlighted why anyone would get it. Great job

    Great sensible review. These critics get these cars and what theyre designed for. Reliable, cheap to own, cheap to maintain.

  • @LXT43

    @LXT43

    4 жыл бұрын

    how exactly is it cheap to maintain? yes, it will save you few bucks on gas and that's about where it ends. This car does not cost any less to fix than any other budget sedan out there. The mechanic will not charge you less per hour to fix your Mirage than he would to fix any other car. Parts will cost as much as they would to a Nissan. So yeah, you save a little money but have a car that doesn't hold value very well and is made cheap in every way with questionable reliability over a longer period of time.

  • @wade1359

    @wade1359

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@LXT43 it is cheap to maintain because, like these reviewers have stated, your warranty is huge on this car. So yes they are very cheap to maintain in that 60k miles for bumper to bumper goes a long way. Same with 5 year road side hazard warranty. You literally have no out of pocket expenses while on the warranty. Pretty basic knowledge to be honest..

  • @wade1359

    @wade1359

    @Jonybalony1 only the Toyota doesn't have that long of a warranty. It's half the mitsubishi.. So if the Toyota craps out you're screwed, but during that 10yr period you'd still have warranty with the mirage. You don't have a winning argument. You're a sore loser is all.

  • @LXT43

    @@wade1359 good luck trying to even have it fixed under the warranty if you ever need to. These warranties are just there to make you feel good but fall short when it comes to fixing your Mitsubishi. And good luck trying to resale it.

    @Jonybalony1 what? My age is important now haha? I'm probably older than you and i have a 2000 montero that i have over 220k miles on with literally no problems than replacing timing belts and a 4x4 switch. Don't come at me with that Toyota is the best crap. They are overpriced vehicles with lackluster reliability now. Ya back in the 90s and early 2000s they were the most solid vehicles in the market. Now you have a cheap ass version of a Tacoma with poor reviews, and sad excuses for repairable cars. They fell from the top not too long ago and so far in my book they haven't recovered. They're not the bullet proof vehicles they once were.

    Finally! A review that’s worth a damn! No, it’s not a leather laden land yacht. No, it’s not a 0-60 in 4 seconds Road & Track special. Nor is it a vehicle for towing a camper or a Bobcat. So what?!!! I drive nearly 200 miles a day & I’ve been watching the vehicles that go by me on the interstate. 9 out of 10 times a hog of an SUV or quad cab pickup goes by, it’s carrying the driver & nobody else. Nor are they towing anything. What’s wrong with people? I guess they like making OPEC rich. I frankly like keeping my money in my pocket. At the end of the day, a bulletproof, reliable, fuel efficient vehicle that’s easy to work on, is all that most people need on a daily basis. The rest is hype, status & the stroking of someone’s ego. All total bullshit. Mitsubishi has a winner here & I’m glad someone acknowledged that fact, rather than slamming it senseless.

  • @kylemas2005

    @kylemas2005

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@electron7659 Theyre all three reliable. But here goes IMO after anecdotal research and owning a Mirage. 1. Fit - highest quality fit and finish, also $7 to $10k more dollars 2. Yaris - its not really a Toyota though, but a rebadged Mazda2, reliable but crappy mpg for a subcompact 3. Mirage - way cheaper than the others and it shows in non essentials like seat fabric and touchscreens but a simple reliable powertrain, especially the 5 speed version.

    I have owned the 2014 model here in the UK. Covered 108,250 miles in 5 years. I drove it from Lands end to John O groats in one day without any problems or fatigue. Always dealer services it, and had no breakdowns ever ! Best Mpg I got was 63 mpg. Regularly on motorways worked out by math, not what the screen told me. Easy car to live with, used it as a driving school car. Unfortunately last week, someone drove into the back of it and wrote it off. It did its job and no injuries. Now have two more, a 17 and an 18 plate cars, looking forward to driving them to.

The Adventure Labs lads understand this vehicle for what it is: a simple A to B automobile that is not pretentious in any way, does it's thing and does it well. Or floor the car? They do it to purposely bash the car.There are some of us who don't care about crazy speed, bells n whistles or insane tech.The Mirage is a bad car? Then I guess I love bad cars and I'm a bad MFer.Cause I love my POS Mirage.

    I love my 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE. My G4 is the top trim plus I have a ton of OEM Mitsubishi options and accessories added such as remote start, led daytime running lights, sport side sill rocker moldings, bodyside moldings, rear spoiler, all weather floor mats, cargo net, cargo mat, cargo storage tote, chrome exhaust tip, scuff plates, interior led light, interior piano black trim package, upgraded shift knob, center console arm rest with storage, and more! Plus mine came standard with things like push button start, keyless entry, keyless access on drivers door and trunk, back up camera, apple car play and android auto, am/fm/cd/dvd, auto dimming rear view mirror with homelink, heated seats, upgraded gauge cluster, automatic climate control, striped suede like seat material, fold down rear arm rest with cup holders, 15 inch alloy wheels, fog lights, pw, pl, pm, cruise control, title steering wheel, height adjustable driver seat, speed sensitivity intermittent wipers, bluetooth and so much more! I love the car for the way it looks and drives. It is so roomy inside and the rear seat in the Mirage G4 version is as roomy as a family sedan and also has a big trunk. The ride is very smooth on the Mirage and Mirage G4. I love all the features they give you with these cars and even the base model comes pretty well loaded. I also owned a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback and loved it so much when the updated mid cycle refreshed 2017s came out I traded it on my G4 and my next car with be another Mirage! Both of mine has been super reliable, fuel efficient, fun to drive, and feature packed. Plus the 3 cylinder engine in this car is tested and proven reliable as it has been out in other countries in the Mirage since 2012. I love that the engine is very basic and has little to go wrong with it as it don’t have all these high tech things added its just a basic reliable 3 cylinder that is easy to work on and access. So if you want a good new car for a super low price you cant beat the Mirage and they sell for thousands below sticker as mine was $18,115.00 (top trim G4 SE) and I ended up paying $12,714.00 after dealer discounts, factory rebate and loyalty cash! So essentially I got my top trim loaded Mirage G4 SE for less than a Base Mirage G4 ES with manual transmission lol. Take ones for a drive and see how the Mirage is so good at what its intended to do.

    I bought a new one in 2015. Best tank I ever got with my Mirage was 55mpg. Oh, and these cars NEVER EVER BREAK. The warranty is great...but you will never use it! Mine has 134,000 miles now, and has just needed maintenance. NOTHING fails on these cars...not a clip, not a switch, not a bracket. Period.

    djkenny MPG is just as much the driver as the car. I’m getting 42 mpg with my 2019 Gas RAV4 LE 4wd. I drive gently but try to stay with traffic. The engine (2.5L) is large, but it is geared tall, and shuts off at stops. My driving routine is mostly suburban and exurban highways with occasional stop lights.

    That’s very very good, with AWD? Our 16 Forester CVT seldom gets better than 38-39 highway. I’m not sure I’m in love with start stop technology due to extra stress and heat. It seems Toyota has impressive generators and starters on the hybrid cars though. They’ve been at this for so long. Maybe that tech is used in the start stop?

    djkenny I have AWD. I don’t think it’s in AWD all the time though unless mud, sand, or snow modes are selected. I always drive in Eco mode. I believe Subaru’s are in all wheel all the time. My mother has an XLE Premium AWD RAV4 with 19 inch wheels and wider tires. Her mpg is about 35 mpg. The extra weight, larger wheels/tires, driving style, and lack of start/stop hurt the mpg. I can control the start/stop with the brake pedal so it only comes on during long stops. It uses an upgraded starter motor. Start/stop has been used in Europe for a long time with no issues. Gas gulf carts have used start stop tech for decades with no major issues.
