2019 Arnold Strongman Classic - Wheel Of Pain | Recap

Спорт

Complete highlights from the Wheel of Pain event, part of the 2019 Arnold Strongman Classic held March 1-2, 2019, in Columbus, Ohio. Tune in March 6-8, 2020, for the full Rogue live stream of this year's Arnold Strongman Classic event and stay tuned for the full event recap happening on CBS in May.
The inspiration for the Wheel of Pain came from the Hollywood set of one of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first major films, but in the hands of the team at Rogue Fitness, it quickly evolved from a legendary prop into a fully functional, precision-engineered reality, complete with 12” diameter logs, metal joints, sand-loaded drums, and incredible carvings made by local Ohio chainsaw artists. It takes about 500 LBS of ground force just to keep the wheel moving.

This is brutal. Technique and tactics here are just as important as strength and power. I think bodying it from the start is the way to go

This is the funnest event in the Strongman Classic by far. I can't wait to see what strategies the guys have come up with this year. Too bad Brian is out this time though.

@@sandwitch911 The rules have changed. You must have both hands on the implement, so past strategies do not work anymore.

did the rogue guys really all push at the same arm of the implement to put it back in position instead of each of them going for the edge of a different arm and have more leverage. The guy furthest on the inside basically did nothing.

It would be interesting to have a football player like a running back or an offensive lineman participate in this event and see where they are in relation to the strongmen.

the thing is that the laser is dangling from a cord, when you saw that it marked Thor as 1st it was due to the momentum applied to it when Thor stopped moving and the laser swung on the cord like a pendulum. EDIT.- Sorry, it's not the laser that is dangling, didn't see it very well in this video. Ignore the above comment.
