Toyota oil filter... amzn.to/36MkLZC
I previously loosened the plastic oil filter prior to using a impact wrench on a plastic oil filter holder. don't do that or you will damage it!!!!!!!!!! just sayen , don't drink used oil either !
...i would recommend OEM...

your son is so wholesome
Great video. Not having to jack the truck up to change oil is def a bonus.
Great jobs guys, thanks!
I have a 2021 TRD PRO. THANKS SO MUCH, Ill look out for the oil on the skid plate now!!!
I didnt see your son install a new crush washer on the oil pan drain plug. Also, if you take that small plug (the one with the small O-ring) first and drain with the plastic insert, all that oil wont spill out as the filter drops. Outside of that I love how your son was involved. My grandson, now 7, has been helpng on my Tundra the past year. He loves it!
Good job guy
Drain the filter housing before removing it. Motivx tools has a nice tool for it but quality filters ship with a plastic tool to accomplish this. These TRD pros benefit from installing a valve drain plug on which you can use an extension rubber pipe to route the flow of oil away from the skid plate. Valvomax or fumoto valves work well.

All tundras have that drain feature not just the trd pro. But the trd pro does benefit from having a hatch in the skid plate to allow access to the filter housing which normal tundras don’t have.
Next gen works tremendously well i mud offroad with side by sides and my ted prop and its unreal how it just comes right off.....
good video, thank you, guys!
the colder the filter the harder it is to remove.... sorry to say it but Never use a drill or impact on anything involving an oil change jmo
Oh hey you guys! ♥ wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy New year ahead! 2020 has been really crazy hope and pray we have a better year in 2021.. God bless you and yours fellas! 🙏🏻 ♥
OH Jiminy Christmas!! HAHA As soon as my warranty expires on my 2020 PRO, I will be under my truck going thru all of this myself.
Good job.
Good job boy
Nice Job! I’ve yet to change my own. My new dealer does free oil changes for 3 years vs old dealer was Lifetime. Hope my new dealer does it right! I may need your sons help 👍🏼
love the voodoo blue. John 3:16-17
Umm....you were suppose to drain the filter before unscrewing it. Had you purchased a Toyota OEM filter, which I believe is your best choice, it comes with the special plug to stick into the bottom to release the oil stuck in the filter cartridge. You unscrew it after that. No mess. Just tryin to help.

@@AndreiDoroftei You gotta really put the pressure on those plastic tabs the OEMs ship with, to get it to click far enough in to really drain the filter. The MOCW Oil Filter Drain Tool on Amazon is under $15 and it's amazing for draining oil out of the filter housing before unscrewing, reduces mess tremendously, just remember to size the hose length and trim before use, it comes too long. Loosen the drain tool brass valve, screw it into the housing, tighten the drain valve portion, easy money. My next oil change, I'm going to install a Fumoto drain valve as well, and put a drain hose on that. Reduce the mess of the Tundra oil change to zero.

yes sir. we keep that element to what was that? in our videos.
I had a similar experience when I took my truck to the Toyota dealer for a "free" oil change. They made a mess and it turned out that they did not even change the filter. That was the last time I took my vehicle to a dealer for any kind of maintenance. I will never go back to a Toyota dealer unless it is for a serious issue that falls under the warranty. I do all my own oil changes now.

I am the same way. I do my own maintenance and repairs, unless it's under a recall.
Did the TRD PRO come with the driver's side grab handle or did you have to add it?
@AndreiDoroftei

we added it...we did a video on that as well
Hello Sir, I noticed that on 8:45 where your son is resetting the maintenance code, I can see that you have RED stitching on your steering wheel. I know you have a PRO and it comes with a leather steering wheel. Did you wrap the leather OEM steering wheel with another leather with RED stitching?
@AndreiDoroftei

we did a video on that. it does not come with a leather wrap, its a wrap we got off of amazon. we did it ourselves in about 2h.
To cause less mess judt take out the filter by hand
Under coating your truck at the same time
I enjoy your videos but I'm sorry I would not use fram on my lawn mower

@@Nflguy4949 I have been using Fram for a very long time on my jeeps with no problems whatsoever. They are good stuff without hesitation .... but when it comes to my Toyotas i tend to stick to OEM.... just because. toyota is not a as cheap as possible type of company . i said it in one of the comments that i edited out. but when they were side by side i when with what looked better witch it probably is. kind of talked in circles.
Should get a Cybertruck and then you don't have to worry about oil changes. Until then can I have the rest of your oil changes from Toyota for my Tundra?
How many miles you're Tundra have?
