That looks like a thunderstorm called a supercell as it seems to be rotating

Not enough directional shear at this latitude for supercells.

@@a.c.1085 They can get tornadoes. So if tornadoes are possible there, so are supercells. ( I am not an expert, so I could be wrong)

@@bensmall6548 Not necessarily. Spin up landspout tornadoes do occur in the tropics... but supercells rarely if ever do. It takes very specific surface and upper atmospheric conditions for supercell development... and the tropics are just too far removed from any major synoptic scale polar jet features to get the required shear and extreme instability.

@@bensmall6548 Yes. It is common for most people to associate tornadoes with supercells, but interestingly not all supercells can produce tornadoes. Some of them may end up being outflow dominant. And sometimes, multicellular thunderstorms can also produce twisters despite lacking that rotating updraft.

Shafts accentuated with a greenish hue indicates that the thunderstorm is capable of producing hail. And for tornadoes to form, the thunderstorm needs a strong wind shear (speed and directional) in order to sustain longer and evolve into more severe supercells, a mode of thunderstorm characterised by its distinctive rotating motion caused by warm swirling mesocyclone. Usually, air mass and multicellular thunderstorms are the most common mode of thunderstorms in Malaysia, with supercellular cases being rare. Supercells are literally multicellular thunderstorms on steroids. Both storms can produce hail, and sometimes multicells can spawn tornadoes, despite lacking of rotating updraft. If a multicell thunderstorm is arranged in a linear pattern, it is are called a QLCS event, or in other words, squall lines. The tail end of the line is where tornadic activity is possible. In fact there are two major thunderstorm seasons in Malaysia, which are March-May and September-November. Both are collectively known as intermonsoon periods. There is also tornadic activity in Malaysia, but not as frequent as the Tornado Alley. The first documented tornado in Malaysia was an EF1 which struck the state of Perlis. The worst tornado outbreak in Malaysia happened during the second intermonsoon period of 2014. There were around 42 twisters documented, with the strongest did EF3 damage in Pendang, Kedah. The most recent tornado happened in 30 January 2022, an EF0-1 in Tasek, a suburb of Ipoh, in the state of Perak. There is also hailstorm in Malaysia as well.
