No.. North American militaries are the least disciplined lol. Just a quick search of foreign military doctrine will show you that. But dedication and commitment, North American militaries are definitely up there.

When I think of the 25 people in our church choir, processing every Sunday up the aisle and into the choir loft: everyone sits in the same seat they've always sat in, and yet, compared to this, it looks like the Keystone Kops in a mad panic. This is amazing and also beautiful in its precision.

Many congratulations from the British side of the Big Pond for an impressive display, and good luck to all USAF graduates for their careers. The American half-step legs and half-swing arms are so different from our full-pace and full-arm swing!

The dumb unnecessary full swinging of arms of the GB services is what makes me laugh every time I see it. It is so contrived and unnatural. The natural style of marching which we Americans used was devised by Von Stueban at Valley Forge. He was tasked by Washington to get his troops, a bunchy of poorly educated farm boys, into some semblance of order through a drill they could understand.

@@johngreen3543 No need to be offensive. I and others find the US heel-and-toe half-step, coupled with a casual (sloppy?) arm swing, 'contrived and unnatural', but we are too polite to laugh at it - and certainly not to call it dumb. We have too much respect for another nation's traditions.

That’s a BIG graduation class! For most of those officers, that’ll be the last time they’ll ever march in formation. Marching takes practice and practice takes time and time is always in short supply.

Most military academies in the world do not allow graduating class to sit down during graduations. Everyone is standing at attention from the start until the throwing of hats. This graduation is the grandest of all I have ever seen!

We visited the Air Force Academy stadium while our son-in-law was stationed at Fort Carson. Later that fall, he took his family to watch an academy football game against Navy. Eldest grandson sat on the Air Force side. Youngest grandson sat on the Navy side. Guess who’s my favorite! Fly Navy!
