    Good review, Kon! when i browse Carlist I noticed there are many Harrier 2.0 model (recon and used) for sale, but not many for 2.4 and 2.7 models. This is just Selangor and WP alone. My mechanic, who also buy and sell used car on the side, told me more people are disposing this model compares to the other 2 models. This trend sure does say something. What do you think, Kon?

    The big reason for Toyota separating the Harrier from the RX, is when it was 1st marketed Japan did not have the Lexus brand. Toyota didn't introduce in until 2005, two years after the 2nd gen Harrier debuted. They kept the Harrier essentially the same and on the 2nd gen RX platform even after the 3rd gen RX was introduced, probably because it sold well. When it came time to redesign it they went with the NX/RAV4 platform but styled it differently from both, and in it's home market, it's starting price is in between that of the RAV4 and the NX.

    The signal lights on these cars looks nice but dont they seem to be too thin/small? unless people are driving close to these cars. Those that are speeding thru the lanes could easily miss the signals.. especially when its super bright outside to a point that small light sources look like they arent turned on at all

  • @KonWaiLuen

    @KonWaiLuen

    6 жыл бұрын

    Dynamically, the CR-V is better - you get slightly sharper handling, but not by much. Ride comfort, about equal. Harrier trumps on long distance driving though, thanks to its 2.0 engine vs the CR-V's 1.5.

    I guess next year parallel importer will bring in Turbo version as well. Why Parallel importers still exist: 1) price (cheaper by far) 2) spec given facelift to facelift (JDM) parallel importer choose better spec to bring in. 3) Now there is GMR exist, basically warranty not an issue.

  • @KonWaiLuen

    @KonWaiLuen

    A matter of choice. The parallel importers can stay in business as long as they bring in products that consumers want.
