2018 Task Force Dagger 3Gun Jessica Hook

Спорт

Wow what a ride! I shot my first Task Force Dagger 3Gun match, and it was quite the challenge! I finished 3rd Lady, and learned a ton. Im definitely doing this again next year! I’m also proud to announce my new sponsorship with EOTech! I was running my new Vudu 1-6x with SR-3 reticle, and I couldn’t be happier!! The match had long range shots out to 500 yards and the 5.56 BDC (bullet drop compensator) on 6x was dead on. For my pistol I was running my new TTI Combat Master 17L! It’s lightweight making it easy to drive through transitions faster! (That is, when my arms aren’t about to fall off!!) As always, I run my trusty TTI Benelli M1 Super 90. Here are some clips from the match. Come out and play next year!! @TaranTactical @Eotechinc @TFD3G @BladeTech @511Tactical @benelli #tti #tarantactical #eotech #eotechvudu #bladetech #benelli #511tactical #passionforward #outlaw #3gun #multigun #taskforcedagger #TFD3G #jhookshot

    Actually the ground was like a semi-soft mud mattress, very shock absorbent on the landing. I "test jumped" a couple times before I did it on the clock. The first jump I had my shotgun shells in front, and they all fell out when I landed (gravity), so the 2nd test jump I had the them spun around to my back, and when I landed they all stayed in! You can see me spin my caddy belt around to the front after I land. My physics lesson for the day! :P

    Brian Mischer I shoot a Benelli M1 Super 90, and the birdshot I’ve been using is Herter’s (brand) 12 Gauge, 2-3/4 length, 1-1/8 oz. shot, shot size #7-1/2 or #8. www.cabelas.com/product/shooting/ammunition/shotgun-ammunition/pc/104792580/c/104691780/sc/104567580/herters-reg-target-shotshells-per-case/1545677.uts?slotId=1

    When those discs popped up in 3:00 was that something you had to activate or they just pop up randomly?

  • @JessicaHook

    @JessicaHook

    6 жыл бұрын

    MrHellotherehowareu The clay pigeons (the discs) are activated by the falling steel plate in the middle of the horizontal green barrels. The plate (also called a popper) falls onto 2 levers which pop up the clays. Google "pigeon flipper popper." If I never hit the middle steel plate, the clays will never pop up.

    I diskike the habits rangeism creates. No proper use of cover and concealment Reloading in the open Equipment desinged to look pretty but not ACTUALLY designed to tske a beating or hold gear If these people tske this much time to build these intricate courses and learn the course of fire and TEACH something to people, Teaxh them the RIGHT WAY TO FIGHT. Not how to beat a clock and make stupid decisions that leaves them exposed Other than that, good effort. Obviouslu these folks love what they do and i can respect that at least

    This is a sport. Just because a gun is involved, doesn't mean it's tactical training. But if you really want to clear corners while shooting an intricate course of fire, IDPA would probably like having you

  • @agoogleuser4354
    @agoogleuser43545 жыл бұрын

    The problem I have with 3-gun is that it's NOT realistic, and does NOT prepare you for self defense/home defense. Birdshot instead of buckshot; recoil will be massively different with a buckshot load. Single shots at the target; c'mon, you're going to need to fire multiple shots on target in real life. Beefed up, modified Race Guns, that muzzle break is ridiculous on that AR15, that'd blind and deafen you instantly in self defense. Unrealistic room-clearing techniques; you smack into the center of a room full of badguys and you're getting wasted. Slicing the pie is what needs to happen. And under NO circumstances EVER am I going to simply chuck my $1000 AR with a $600 scope into a barrel. It's slung on my back if I'm not using it. That said, nice job!

  • @CarlVolt

    @CarlVolt

    4 жыл бұрын

    This isn't tactical training, it's a sport. It has nothing to do with home defense at all. Also, it depends on the match, sometimes you use slugs and buck, even on the same stage, so you have to do ammo management while doing your course. If you want to slice the in competition, I suggest looking into IDPA competitions.
