I can't imagine how Mr. Nogami feels. To think that he created something that makes so many people happy and get to watch some of those people play his game on a level he probably didn't imagine when he started making it must be a very fulfilling moment for him.

I still find it crazy that a relatively new NINTENDO IP (compared to Mario and Zelda and Metroid) is now a mainstay eSports title. One of the reasons Splatoon is so awesome I really do need to play Splatoon at some point!

That last match has got to be the most exciting splatoon gameplay I've ever seen

I always come back to watch this. Backsquids are insanely good. Now imagine going up against a team with Wadsm, GG Brian, KP Kiver and KP Kaji. I’d be terrified and gladly accept my fate 😂

XrebelX 02 yes , in 2018 his team lost the UK title, and lost in European semifinals to the second best team in France, still an amazing player on the individual level, but it is a team E-sport

JJ The Mememaster Yeah. Pretty great battle and teams for this year! The only thing I’m disappointed about is Australia’s Yea Nah team. I’ve been binge watching Latias’ channel everyday and admire her skills but I can’t believe her choice to use the same Gatling every round. Other than that, I think all of them played really greatly, especially EU’s Wadsm’s slosher play. He used an op weapon look more strategic by stopping the other team and splatting the map for his teammates to travel and defend and offend. I’m really happy that Japan won, because I’m Japanese, but I was also happy that the EU got to fight with Japan lol. EU’s advantage was probably that they were playing safe, camping sometimes to stop Japan’s aggressive and rather coordinated play, while countering them by being more aggressive at times. Good game m8.

Kiver played for Alliance Rogue (FRA) through the European Championship. Power was on break, and Tim played for Synergy, his original team, in the U.S./Canada Inkling Open. (Synergy did not meet as a team for the previous year, so he was invited to join Deadbeat, which eventually won the 2017 U.S. Inkling Open and the World Inkling Open.)

EZ167 the more you progress in one sitting, the higher your penalty will be However the number left + penalty doesn’t = the number left before the zone was taken If you go from 100 to 2 your penalty will be around 75 If you go from 100 to 90 your penalty will be 8-9 It rewards teams that keep the zone for long periods of time Also if it just readded everything the game would never progress

When a team takes control of the Splat Zone(s) from another team, the other team will have penalty points added to its countdown (about 0.6 seconds per point) equal to 3/4 the points counted down-including any penalty points-during its time of possession. (continued below) For example, if Green Team lowers its countdown score from 100 to 60 before Pink Team captures, or caps, the Zone, Green Team's counter will read 60 points with a (100 - 60) × 3/4 = 30 point penalty. Next, suppose Green Team were to cap the Zone, clear the penalty points, and run its countdown score to 30 before Pink Team recaps. Now, Green Team's score would read 30 points with a [30 + (60 - 30)] × 3/4 = 45 point penalty. (This is all assuming that Pink Team does not run its countdown score to 0.) Even if a team cannot clear its penalty, the penalty cannot get any larger than it initially was set to until a team clears it completely and begins scoring "real" points.

That's what I initially thought, but some people claim he did it strategically. Since there was no one else to throw any clams into the basket there wasn't any point in opening it. Also he would give the other team a pity clam. So I guess he wanted to wait for a bigger push that would potentially take the lead

A battle mode similar to something like valorant would be pretty cool but battle royal would suck because health is extremely limited the weapons aren’t made to have extreme range (I mean like most third person shooters gun range)

RoboGaming opponents can’t pick up your team’s power clams. He was close enough to the point of being able to throw it in in time and be the basket open

Wtf is US_HXN doing at 34:06? US_Whitz is already covering left of the tower. HXN goes the long way to go back left because he fell off instead of covering right where 2 opposing players were. He took himself out of the match for 3 seconds for no good reason. That's bad map recognition and bad score recognition, if he goes right initially they probably win that map.

looked like a temporary retreat to charge his special; you can see that he gains the special in the time that he retreats, then immediately activates it once he's back on the tower (i know this was 4 years ago, but i was curious about your observation haha)

Swampy948 i understand that, but it kept its 60 fps perfectly fine when the game had its better graphics

I'm not hating or anything but there's some really good people out there who play splat with almost 30 kills per match and are OG and decided not to sign up and some people are just squid bagging because they were losing like come on. Ok but give them a chance before they land, you can't just camp but oh well lmao
