The Singer Owners' Club 50th National Weekend visited Wrest Park, Shuttleworth Trust and Stockwood Discovery Centre. National Day was at Woburn Abbey

    Those were the days when I could really enjoy driving. No fast speed. In those days, we had to become one with our cars. I learned to understand my car and my car learned to understand me. PARADISE √

    To be fair, there are plenty of postwar saloons in the video. Actually, the one at 17:35 is not a Hunter, but an SM1500, the model before the Hunter. And the only part of the Hunter's body that was made of GRP was the bonnet lid - the rest was steel. Later models reverted to steel bonnets. My father bought a secondhand Hunter in 1963, and I drove it in the early 70s before it was eventually pensioned off. Nice car.

    @@tom0554 by "postwar", I meant the years immediately after WW II characterised by rationing, plastic cars etc.

    Looking for my old Singer nine sports Reg. EF5241 if anyone out there knows the whereabouts. Have stories from 1965 for the owner. Barry Rogers
