Preston Championships is held once a year and is open to anyone who plays within the Preston League. The event is held in the main sports hall of the St Augustine's Sports Complex which is also part of Cardinal Newman College, Preston. Spectators are welcome at this event.
Adam Oldfield is a left hander who likes to attack with his forehand and block/drive with his forehand. Adam is playing in his first season in our Premier Division with Deepdale B where he has 16% win rate and a league ranking of 91. Adam also plays for Preston's Junior A Team having progressed from our Cadet team where they were runners up in the 2014/15 North West England Premier Division. Adam is another player who came through our coaching system helped by his dad Brian who you can see play in our 2018 Over 60's and Doubles competitions.
Oliver Garmston is playing in his first season in our Premier Division with Kirkham A. Oliver has a win rate of 44% and a league ranking of 49. There are a number of videos of Oliver playing when he was younger in our divisional singles competitions so it's great to see him progress thorough our league structure. Oliver also came through our coaching system and trains mainly now at the North West Regional Training Centre in Garstang. Oliver also plays for Preston in the North West Junior League and has a Junior England ranking of 193.
Adam and Oliver are friends and practise together so they know each others games inside out.
