    These announcers mispronouncing names are triggering me. Josh Martellus, Rahshan Gary, Michael Drumfour, Delvin Bush. Not to mention them pretending to know the rules, saying the wrong thing then going “yep yep” when the refs get the right call when they were literally saying the opposite 15 seconds earlier

    Didn't know at the time, but as far as domination this was probably Michigan's high point of the season (wish it could have been against, ahem, "another" team). Let's see if this season will be different.

    I am really interested to see what the blocking scheme will look like this year. We can plow over weak defensive lines like this, but that just won't work against OSU or Notre Dame

    7:31 I swear #23 on defense intentionally takes himself out of the way so he doesn’t have to try to tackle that bulldozer of a fullback. I can’t comprehend any situation where you see an o-lineman pulling your way and the ball carrier also and you decide to squeeze down.

    I believe this was before Gattis arrived and destroyed our offense. Whoever was running our offense 2018 and prior was doing just fine. We were scoring more points more quickly than with this “speed in space” that had yet to work…

    Finally a season where NU only got blown out one game the entire year. Some major cleanups began after this game. Watch out, going to be better at least for the next 2 years. 8-4, 2019. 10+, 2020. They are on the rise, and it's not a slow growth.

    I don’t know for sure but I believe you are correct. Isn’t this no different than a fumble? Or is the refs argument that bcz the returner never had full possession then the team cannot advance it? I wonder.

    That's the interesting thing about college football, no one game is indicative of a teams ability. Yeah we got beat bad by Michigan, Michigan got beat bad by Ohio State, but then Nebraska almost beats Ohio State? The funny part is every fan base would say, "it was just a bad game for our team." Which could be true, but again it's hard to say. Love this game at the college level!

    As long as Harbaugh and staff keep scooping up two and three-star players instead of making an effort to get 4 and 5-star players (like the top programs do!), Michigan will always struggle to win against strong teams. And there's no way around it.

  • @wolverine974801

    @ Graham Wellington Michigan is ranked #9 in the blue chip ratio for 2018 with a score of 57%. Only 13 teams out of 130 in college football subdivision made this list. Alabama ranks #1 with a score of 77%. This is a very good predictor of which teams will compete for the playoff and national championship. Michigan is signing excellent players, just not quite on the same level as Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, USC etc. Of course, those programs are nearer geographically to more elite prospects so that explains why they sign more 4 and 5 star players. I don't think Michigan and Harbaugh are showing a lack of effort in trying to recruit 4 and 5 star players. Other factors are at play. It would be great also if Michigan could make the playoff this year as this would bring even more positive exposure to the program. They are 7-1 and they have a golden opportunity as the remaining schedule is manageable. GO BLUE!!!!!

    Real shit, the refs are biased against michigan, and it becomes more and more prevalent each year. Like the one game, where they had to see the replay on the fucking big screen in order to realize how bad of a missed call that was.

    So if you uploaded the games played by your favorite team (and I'm not saying you are...just trying to make a point) and you did this for those who are fans of your favorite team, are you telling me that you would upload the losses? Do you think the fans would want to watch those losses? I seriously doubt it.

    Michigan Man they did win the national championship that year but that was there last one. They’re now in a decline and it’s going take awhile before they become competitive in games. The only reason the national championship is controversial is because of the broken bowl game system where the top 2 teams weren’t even aloud to play each other. Which sucks because that would of been a fun game to watch.

    1997 1/2 Nebraska (they beat #2 Tennessee and 2 time Super Bowl Champ Peyton Manning 42-17) 1/2 Michigan (we beat barely beat #16 Washington State 21-16 and the biggest bust in NFL history Ryan Leaf)

  • @chriswilliams3084

    @chriswilliams3084

    4 жыл бұрын

    Are you honestly trying to say that Michigan would have lost to Nebraska in '97 because of what would happened later on in the future? Manning winning two Super Bowls, and Leaf becoming a bust in the NFL would have had no bearing on a game that, would have happened in January of 1998. There is only one way to know how a Michigan/Nebraska game in '97 would turned out. The game would have had to be played. You should keep in mind a game that Nebraska did actually play that year. It was against a Missouri team that was 6 - 3 and unranked. Nebraska was supposed to be the number 1 team in the nation. And yet they needed an illegal kick of the ball in the end zone just to force an overtime period. And even though NU pulled it off, they certainly did not look like the number 1 team in the nation. But they still went on to win a share of the national championship. Obviously their crappy performance against Missouri didn't mean anything when they walloped Tennessee in the Orange Bowl. So it stands to reason that Michigan's close game with Washington State should not lead anyone to the conclusion that Michigan wouldn't have been able to defeat Nebraska. Especially since, had the game been a reality, Nebraska's offense would have been face to face with the best defense they would have seen all season...the number 1 defense in the nation. Michigan's '97 defense is generally considered one of the top 10 defenses in the history of college football. They allowed an average of 8 and a half points per game. If UM had only scored 25 points in every game that season, it still would have been enough for an undefeated season.
