It's enough for a daily car with that power... People who say "it's not enough for a 35k€ car is too much" : what do you expect ? It's one of the most technologic car of these years and for a long time. here you pay for a premium car (hello it's a mercedes) and for technology. The goal of this car is not power, it's comfort and design. For my opinion, I don't buy a car for the power only otherwise I would buy an old M3 or more recent M2 for 40 / 45k euros but the interior of these vehicle are not that technologic and recent, it's only to have driving pleasures... :) You should consider these things when you're speaking about "just a renault engine" that makes my laugh.

Oh and don’t forget that the entry models for the “premium” brands also have plastics. A Ford Focus, Hyundai i30 or even a Volkswagen Golf wipes the floor with this car lol

Nowt wrong with that for 116bhp diesel. Quick gearbox, strong and smooth sounding acceleration. Stop bloody moaning everyone and get an M4 or something if you dont like this.

Wait, did you press the throttle very precisely before launching or does this thing actually have launch control?

Nah all he does it puts it in sport, esp off, start/stop engine off. Foot on break then slam accelerator then let go of break. A35 and above have real launch controls

0-100 is 9.9 s based on speedo. 10.1 s is GPS-based

Renault avait prêté des 1.5 et 1.6 dCi à Mercedes. Ils ont été convaincus. Pour rappel, les 1.5 foireux ont été fabriqués avant 2009. Depuis 2012, il y a quasiment plus de problèmes de fiabilité sauf exception. Le bloc 1.5 Bluedci a été conçu avec Mercedes, d'où la contenance du carter d'huile qui est passée de 4.5L à 5.5L en autres

Ça serait pareil pour Mazda qui a équipé de moteurs 1.4, 1.6 HDi faits avec Ford. Mais Mazda tout comme Volvo a utilisé les plateformes de Ford, d'où certains ont des moteurs PSA Ford

Why do you say so? A maxed out A-Class is much more appealing, modern as well as much more expensive than a maxed out MK6 GTI. Everyone who buys an A-Class could afford an Mk6 GTI with ease. Given this, I highly doubt it's more special. But everyone is different...

It's a crime putting that kind of power to a car. For this size 150 hp is absolutely minimum. Imagine driving with 4 people and try to overtake at 80-90 km/h.

If I had this car, first thing I'd do is to visit tuning company and put powerbox in this car to increase power and torque. I reckon they would raise power to 140 hp and 300 Nm which is fine.

It's question of price... This engine is just about consumption and torque. If you want some performance or comfort, there're gasoline engines (1.4 or 2.0t)
