Glad my radio works now just by pulling out 2 fuses and that did the job

or you can pull the Negative wire on the battery a lot easier than pulling fuses i’m a Chevy technician

Hey how long did you have ur car before this problem started

Jiggle the 15 fuse in slot f29 in front passenger fuse compartment located near the floor. Worked for me

Mine was a 20, and my fuse box is just left of the steering wheel not passenger but not the point lol. Worked for me, so for that i Thank you Mr Jones. Just wish I seen this before the drive to work with no tunes 😑😂

Its so annoying I usually just turn the car off open the door so it’s completely powered off. Wait about 30 sec to a min open the door again start the car up and it comes back on. Such a hassle 🤦🏽‍♀️.

Make a video with your phone. so you have something to show the dealer. make 2 or 3 if you can. if your out of the warranty period you can always ask for assistance. Having a video is the best they cant turn you away. The dealer can send a copy to engineering for diagnostic assistance. Good luck.

ok you probably fixed it by now but all you have to do is pull the negative terminal of the battery wait five seconds put it back on and you’ll get sound back

@@MyzMimi010 no video but if you use 10mm socket or wrench 🔧 on the negative terminal of the battery it will re set it

We usually replace the radio and or the HMI module for this concern and that takes care of it. However this gal had her 1st malibu bought back from Chevrolet for this same concern. On this car we replaced the radio, HMI module, ip cluster and sections of the wire harness and still did not fix the car. The only thing we found was that the cust had aftermarket heated seats installed on both cars, so we think that it had something to do with it. Chevrolet bought this car back as well. I don't think the cust had this car for 5 or 6 months. After Chevrolet took the car back we never heard back from them on if they found the problem and /or if they fixed it. One thing for sure, aftermarket accessories play a major role in weird stuff in the new cars from non OEM USB cables to LED bulbs and 12v-USB power supplies.

Did you ever find out the problem?

In short , no i did not. We had replaced everything except for the dash wire harness assembly. GM bought the car back. Oddly enough this was the customers second "buy back" of the same YMM for the exact same problem.

I have the same 2018 chevy Malibu 2018. Same problem here

The best thing to do is to get a video, even 2 or 3 differant times so when ou got to the dealer you can show them and or email it to them and they can fwd it to engineering. Good luck
