he knew before. he got asked to audition during rehearsals for jimmys and they knew they wanted him, but they had to audition him bc of fairness and stuff

The other guy singing Evan Hansen and Andrews standing right there like ...”just you wait...”

i think its kinda ironic how this medley closes with lines from Mean Girls and Dear Evan Hansen 😂

Whoever composed this arrangement deserves their own award 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Jimmy Awards is a living reminder that I had missed the greatest opportunities in life just because I did not live in America and study high school there. It makes me want to go back to high school. 😭😍

Jonas De Leon Mijares nah my dude the american education system is fuuuuucked, these kids often have to go to theater companies outside of school and the public schools don’t always properly fund the arts, some people have to fight to even have a budget in the first place :(

@@e-linamarie Yeah, my school doesn't even have enough males that will audition for our musical. Our budget for band music is 100 dollars all around. I wish we had programs that could do this. I love theater with all my heart but I just don't have the resources to be this good haha

heyjonas only certain high schools from each state qualify for the jimmy awards as well. one of my good friends got to go because she goes to very well funded school in a rich neighborhood but i don’t, and so kids from my school don’t even get a chance.

The sad part is for probably for more than half of these people this will be their first and last time on a Broadway stage

Reneé got to sing I’d Rather Be Me and now she’s in that show on Broadway. Poetic cinema

The first soloist is amazing at riffing and this is an absolute dream!! I really want to be on the Jimmy's before I graduate high school!

I got the experience to see Andrew in Dear Evan Hanson on Broadway and it was so amazing! One of the best Broadway shows I've seen

I know this isn't the nicest comment but I'm seeing a couple of familiar faces from last year and I personally think it's unfair for those nominees to go to The Jimmys twice in a row. Of course they're talented but their regional programs should give that opportunity to someone new.

Eliza Jade the same girl won three years in a row at ours and the first two were fine but people got so mad when she won the third. Like two is fine but honestly I agree. Give the opportunity to somebody else
