    Well, I just picked up my Scout Bobber, did a bunch of unnecessary ascetic upgrades thing through Indian, but some 'important' things like a Corbin custom seat (10x better than the stock seat btw) LED headlight, side mount plate, and of course, the Trask slip on mufflers. I have to say that this bike is now the loudest bike I have ever heard in my life! Lol So much so that when I fired it up in front of my house birds were taking off like it was Armageddon! Two neighbors were working on their lawns and both stepped out into the street the see what he heck was going on so there goes the neighborhood I guess lol. I absolutely love it! Sounds amazing, looks amazing, rides amazing. Thank you for the info Brandon as your insight is always on point, vids are great, and you really helped me make some decisions with respect to the bike that I decided to buy and what I did with it.

    Glad I could help some, RM! The Scout Bobber is the loudest bike I've owned as well. I may upgrade my seat at some point as well. Beginning to look into longer rides and that stock seat won't cut it.

    How do you like the Trask Slip ons? any regrets? Are they painfully loud like people are claiming? I love the sound in videos, but I don't want my neighbors to hate me. Or wear ear plugs while riding. I cant decide on these or the Vance & Hines Grenades. I read that if you use the o2 sensor on the grenades you don't need to re-flash.

    Brandon, I put the same Trask slip on on my Bobber and I don't know if the exhaust is the issue, but having a difficult time starting the bike. After sitting for 3 months the bike started up fine for a couple of days, but now in most cases it will not even start and others it takes up to five times to start. Have you had any issues? Also have you considered installing a wrapped 4 inch x 1.75 dia baffle? Thanks J Scott

  • @BrandonBicasso

    @BrandonBicasso

    6 жыл бұрын

    I normally have the issue on cold days. I can't remember if I had it stock, but I just open the throttle a bit to get it going. Probably the lack of back pressure a cause? My buddy and their Victories have similar symptoms too.

    I just traded my 17 Bobber for a 2019 just like I wanted the 1st time..I got it in Indian Red ,with Spokes,drag bars..I then had a friend who builds exhausts for someone involved with the hand built/welded straight pipes for the 750 Flat trackers..Anyway he built me a one pff set of bitchn pipes...Ive also lowered te rear quite a bit more than the factory Scout Bobber was when I bought them and the front got a lowered slightly over a inch...The spokes MAKE THE ENTIRE BIKE!! IT RIDES SO SMOOTH ..Its like a different bike..I put brass pegs on it,levers,sdjustments and all kind of nuts and bolts that brass made really look BITCHN..I love my Bobber..but I uave a # of VERY RARE bikes..Most rare are the 1936 HRD VINCENT TWIN,1938 SCOUT as well as a 1938 438 1265cc 4 cyl 10E matching #s of. frame DCH6244\drivetrainDCH6244 and my pops love is his 1952 SERIES D which had the rare Black Shadow Tune NOT the Rapide tune..The last one im sharing is our 53 Chief 1340 Twin with matching #s ..CS61133/CS61133.. THATS ALL IM SHARING.My fad grew uo in England until 1958. FYI..

  • @BrandonBicasso

    @BrandonBicasso

    6 жыл бұрын

    Photo Biker They sound fantastic. Probably one of the best looks/sounds from all that I've seen. The grenades are nice but remove passenger seat option. The big but is how freaking loud they are in closed spaces and quiet areas. It's almost embarrassing starting it up in a parking garage or in an area that's very quiet. But, I do recommend them. Brings the bike alive and that little whine on the intake makes it even better. I got a habit of preloading the throttle just a tad while engine breaking to get crackles.. Very addicting.

  • @photobiker4309

    @photobiker4309

    I'll never ride two up on the bobber, so a back seat isn't a worry. Loud is not really to my taste. I was more changing for the looks first. Ok, you're just ruled out the V&H for me (not a bad thing). Thanks for the input. You've given me plenty to think about.

    Brandon, I decided to go with a set of Miller Yuma II. A few reasons - price, look and then sound. There is a dB reducer in there to keep noise levels down and make sure that they meet EU noise limits, but that is also removable.

  • @photobiker4309

    @photobiker4309

    The very loud noise would turn me off the V&H grenades. I live in a built up area, quiet area, and I go to work at 7am, so I don't want to be waking up all the neighbours every morning.

    Your knees may be a tad higher than the tank. You could get the extended foot pegs to give you a more comfortable leg extension.
