Yup, I remember watching Serral's roach nydus that did so much damage, Maru had only 4 SCVs and he came back and beat Serral.

There are so many. There was one against Zest and then another against Classic where every other terran would have failed but he won.

on game 3 it wasnt this terrible for Maru , remember the drones kills with the Hellbat prevented an amazing start with mutas, and consider the double drop killed remaining mining hatch from Leenock, Maru was still on two bases but had only to push back a Roach /ravager push while flying his third orbital and mule it to get back in, if you compare the mining per minutes from both players they are pretty close all game long

Game 1: Yeah, Rogue lost to that. Game 2: Rogue is taking notes. Game 3 was a weird busted cheese. Also, roach ravager no longevity. So close! vs Maru. Leenock looking good.

Weird busted cheese? Leenock threw the series by not having an overseer and letting 2 tanks blast apart his whole army

But overlords are more chill bigger moral booster.

Game 3, Leenock lost alot early on, but he ended up so far ahead with his muta counter. Like really. His econ was better, and his army cound way more. And he was ahead in tech. Then he did that BS attack that basically throwed the game. No overseer in an attack like that to at least spot the high ground? Or at least have a small flock of mutas to take out those 2 tanks which has zero defense. In this case, Leenock wins. But he just throws all his units into Terrans nat without any of that. So the tanks on the high ground are blowing him for free. Viewers are screaming get the hell out of there. Then he let a small drop take out 2 of his bases at home. This was not Maru winning. This was Leenock throwing.

Naaah, all Zerg had to do to win game 3 and series was remember to float some overlords over the high ground to bile the tanks. Which is basic. Ironic Leenock played so brilliantly to lose by a noob mistake.

maru's micro shines like crazy in every battle/engagement. now that his macro is now up to par, he is dominating. game 2 also confirms that terran have no end game. that is 1/3 of the game that terran 99% loses .

craziii3 I've been saying that for some time - zerg nerf is long overdue. Terran was nerfed into oblivion, it is by far the weakest race right now. Terran has absolutely no way to win against late game zerg.

Terran is the strongest race atm tho... Terran total domination in last season of GSL after last terran buff is undeniable.

amai weakest, not strongest. Terran has the weakest late game units that don't really compete to other races. Terran can still win if he's significantly better player. Otherwise cheesing is the only option (as seen in previous season of gsl). Fair late game for Terran is impossible.

They're just used to Maru being godlike that Leenock playing superb is much more amazing. Also strategically Leenock really should've won the last game. Like they said: he made all the right decisions but was not able to pull it off to full extent as far as execution goes. One overlord with that roach attack (even one roach or ling up the ramp would've been enough) or a few less drones lost because of Marus Hellion/Hellbat push - this would've sealed the deal for him. Funny enough: if Maru wouldn't have killed all the mutas before, they would've been with this push and Leenock would've seen the tanks.

@cesar stop whining. Maru just was better in the end. Being ahead strategically is no autowin, when the opponent is better at multitasking and unit control, which clearly was the case here.

Klaus Heiszt he didn't have any high ground vision which lost him the game, that's why he lost. It wasn't an indefinite win by Maru, Leenock won late game against maru, I think the argument is that maru made several mistakes as oppose to Leenock making fewer. It was a good series, I think Leenock had it, just more tweaks

Another day, another pathetic commentary. Maru is not gonna make it out of the group. Leenock is gonna win ... ... ... Buahahaha ... I thought after 2 GSL they would give Maru more credit. But you can't change who you are. He is as Anti-Terran as you will ever see.

Don't care about the casting itself, but anybody watching this, including audience and other Korean casters, could tell Leenock had the win. His econ was better, and his army count was way more.
