I think the issue with LEDs for headlights is that they are so bright that they make everything outside of the light coverage "zone" seem darker, which is kinda bad especially if you drive outside the city where deer are a problem.

Those look great! I have a 2015 and I'm looking to upgrade to LED also

My STX is a 17, thing that worries me if a light goes out after replacement am I stuck for days and my headlight are really bad, OEM. Your videos are always great! Stupid question but why not change out the high beams too?

Could not agree more just bought a beautiful 2018 f150 xlt with the projector housing low beam halogen bulbs can't see shit at night unless on high beam buying these the dust cover dud fit right.

Did you have to instal the anti flicker?

How's the glare for oncoming traffic? Have you been getting flashed at all? I just picked up a 2019 F-150, and I've got the same halogen setup out of the box. I just came from something with bi-projectors that I put SL1's in, and it was brilliant. I'm worried about glare with these though more than my ability to see better at night.

I haven’t been flashed yet! Glare doesn’t appear to be bad at all. The lights are just genuinely 10x brighter in their specific low beam area

@@DownSouthRacing that's great news! To be honest, one thing I hesitated before buying one of these (2019 XLT Sport Crew 4x4 5.0), was the OEM headlamp design. I had a 2016 Charger before this with bi-halogen projectors that I threw a set of SL1's in without worrying, simply because of the factory projector not creating glare. I'd sooner keep the halogens than glare oncoming traffic, so if these are as optically focused as they claim than that is terrific news. I hope you get your hands on some high beam bulbs. If you do, please make a video with some decent driving footage for us! I literally just bought mine this week, so it'll be a few weeks before I upgrade my bulbs lol.

Diode dynamics are a joke. Basically any company dedicated to something like this including f150leds etc etc will screw you blue. Get this 💩 for half price or better at Amazon & various other places. Do not pay at least double by shopping here. I just today upgraded in one of my vehicles & one of my wife's & did them both for less than what diode dynamics wanted for just my wife's & there's no freaking way there set up could have possibly be any better.

They're designed and manufactured in America. Some of us are willing to pay a premium since a lot of Chinese companies are just blatantly copying American made and designed products, hence why they're able to sell them at a quarter of the cost. Now, I know you're talking out your ass with the "Basically any company dedicated to something like this including f150leds etc etc will screw you blue." because I lived in STL where DD is located and the guys there are super helpful especially if any issue were to pop up with their products. I've used DD products on...5 vehicles and I've not had a single issue with any of their products, and the people I know who have had issues were 100% taken care of.

@@sirfitz8125 Me too to a point. Not gonna blow the bank just because some American company wants to take advantage of me. Now 2 equal quality parts comparatively priced with 1 being American & the other being from some other place. I WILL buy American every time. Just not gonna be stupid with my $ when I have a half dozen projects screaming for attention. I would have to use credit cards & max them out & that wouldn't make any sense.
