I found this paper probably the hardest past paper ive done. Stats questions were dreadful
im begging , please do more statistics . your my only hope . mechanics is calm . statistics is causing me several issues

it has been requested here but ill say it too because it would be very useful, is there any possibility you could compile a predicted paper for stats and mechanics?
@MrAstburyMaths
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. I’m not sure what credible predictions I could make for paper 3. I think the best plan is to work through as many past papers as you can. That’s why I’ll be posting 2019 soon along with a Madas paper. You can find the other years’ papers on my channel
how would you know when to say “given that” for those type of questions?
Stats is honestly ridiculous. Would rather do a further mechanics module over a level stats.

can u please explain what you did on part d of the last question? got a little confused
i thought in the statistic part 5c we needed times by 2 considering the different arrangement
guys i know hes writng in the margins under the questions but my teacher told me examiners hate that and might not even give you marks. so just to be safe I would recommened only writing on the lined paper
where does the very last equation come from 20=18.26*cos(14.03)*t ??
what should i focus on when i revise for applied
If I don’t know the large data set and my exam is in a week, is it useless to learn it now?
Hey sir for qu3d in stats, how come you can’t set p (0) = 0.01 + (11-1)(alpha) then solve for alpha? I would assume this would work because I am using F=11 where I know the P(F=11) is 0 because Thomas assumes the child won’t need more than 10 throws?
Please could you make a video on some difficult question types from Madas?

input the values, x=3, N=10, p=0.1, then do 1 minus the answer and you should get 0.0128.
why in Q3 is there arithmetic series, isn't that pure only?

Reaction forces come from surfaces, such as the floor or a wall or a slope.
Why do outliers affect the mean and standard deviation but not the median and IQR
@MrAstburyMaths
2 ай бұрын
The mean and SD are found but by adding up all the data so outliers are included. The median is the middle value and the IQR uses the middle 50% of the data. Thus outliers don’t affect their values

@@bradleyjeffs1633 I think what they mean is, theres not too many questions they can ask you. There will almost always be a sloped question. There will almost always be a kinematics question and a rod question. Its just practice, statistics on the other hand who knows
no one likes stats
1:05:43 for (c), from the start of (b) we have found that T = (5/2)Mg, so it is optimal to use that in calculating R1. R1 + (5/2)Mg*sin(alpha) = 4Mg, recall sin(alpha) = 3/5, so (5/2)Mg*(3/5) = (3/2)Mg, => R1 + (3/2)Mg = 4Mg => R1 = 4Mg - (3/2)Mg = (5/2)Mg.
