Just a heads up on a couple of things. The s550 take 10 qts of oil, and that funnel is designed to put into your fuel filler neck for if a gas can is needed to be used. As far as the tick just send it!

5:40 per a ford technician I was instructed to wait 15-20 mins before checking engine oil level as the coyote has lots of baffles keeping the oil up in the engine. There’s more oil in that car.

It most definitely works. Hyundai Elantra 2017 with 168k started developing lifter tick. Started the car and went with the dog for a walk. First thing I did was sit in the car when I got back. Went for a drive. Car sound completely different. The gentle and persistent itch in my head to rebuild the cylinder head is gone. $ saved $$$.

I believe the funnel is for fueling purposes but looks like it has a dual purpose now. Thanks for pointing it out.

4:13 that bulitt takes 10 quarts all day!! As do all gen 3 coyotes. If you change your own oil that might be part of your problem. I also noticed your oil pressure gauge not moving, it should move with rpm basically 2.5 times your rpm so 2,000 rpm= 50 psi oil pressure.

Small update. I drove the car a bit this morning and there is no noise that I can hear. Pretty happy about it. However, I am not saying that this will fix everyone's noises but its worth the shot.

I have 43k on my 2018 PP1 and had the tick the whole time . This last weekend I changed the oil and used the ceratec and the typewriter tick is gone, its been gone three days, i put 80 miles a day on it to go to work and back. I highly, highly recommend if you have the tick, get this stuff. I'm using it with every oil change and I'm going to be putting it in my wife's BMW next oil change.

I should be able to find that out soon. It says that the product should still be active even after an oil change.

Keep that oil level at or above the full mark. If it were a gen 1 i would say fill it to the full mark, then go .5-1 qt more. They really helped fix the oil capacity problem on the gen 3 with 10 qts oil pan capacity, but its still imperative to keep the oil topped off because the motor itself will hold over 7qts at any given time during operation. Especially with factory oil pump gears, you DO NOT want any aerared oil being fed through those stock gears... all it takes is one moment of imperfect circumstances to get those gears to chatter(high rpm/bouncing off rev limiter-2step) and poof, your motor is gone

@redbluepill2701 I'm saying that when they first made these engines, they didn't consider the long term effects of only having an 8qt capacity for an engine that has at least 7qts flowing through at any given time. They blow oil into the passenger side valve cover area pretty bad, so alot of that oil also pools up in there. You really don't have any oil to spare for the pickup tube at that point, then you factor in the crank whipping the oil back up through the drainage passages and its not good. Have you seen the gen one oil pan while it's off the car or done a opg job with the pan on still? When you picture what 1qt of oil in the pan looks like, it's not much at all. Then consider how many people aren't checking their oil level every time they fill up. The motors burn oil as well, and if you're using a passenger side catch can like you should be... its not good. So you must overfill and/or get a bigger oil pan, which has been fords solution to the issue plus better windage+crank scraper trays in the pan. Having your pick up tube suck up aerated oil is a straight up engine killer(you can visualize how these opg's can be susceptible to chatter at high rpm/rev limiting with these considerations) So yes, the full mark should be considered to be about a quart higher than what it is. Coyotes need good oil pressure. Check out AED TUNING's video on 'Coyote oil system explained', Shaun is the f*cking man when it comes to anything Coyote. I hope I'm helping here and not just coming off as a preacher 🤣 I just want people's motors to last them a long time.

@redbluepill2701 I'm in the process of filming a roush supercharger, oil pump gear, crank sprocket, timing tensioner and guide, valve cover gasket, dipstick tube broken off into the block fix, and mt82 breather tube install right now. Should have a video up in a month or so hopefully at the latest. The longest part about all of this has been researching online exactly how to do it all. So I'm making a video with all of that stuff included. Probably will be multiple videos. The goal of the channel is to do that with every single thing I have to do on this car that doesn't already have these resources available. It's so irritating that the people that have made videos of this stuff, just glaze over all the details and then you're left scratching your nuts trying to figure all this sh1t out. I love helping people so what better way than to show them the conclusions to all the questions I had of how and what to do 🤷🏽‍♂️ gimme a sub if you want man. My stuff won't be fluffed up vlog tryin-to-sell-sh1t videos, but they'll be informative with correct info and suggestions. I make good money at my job, I don't need to sell my soul to be on KZread.

What about warranty after using additives which aren’t recommended by Ford service?

I did wonder about that but this is what the rule is. "As long as an oil additive does not compromise the specification for motor oil, it cannot void the warranty. And if there is question that it might compromise the specification to the point it could cause damage, then the manufacturer must prove it to actually void a warranty"

Using less than what’s recommended means your results are going to be less than intended. When trying something new, I always go with manufacturer’s recommendations with the product. I hope it works, but if it doesn’t you don’t know if it’s a bad product or operator error. Good video and I hope it works, but I’d send another can. Better to spend $50 and fix the problem (or know it didn’t work) than waste $25 and not know why it didn’t work. It’ll take about 500-1000 miles to really see if there’s been a benefit.

What oil u use???..because liquidmoly said mix with cera tec good for 31000 miles.only easy miles mnd you. Never use liquidmoly.for my car .I'm worry about ruin gasket,seals if I go 10000 miles or more.gm factory said require full synthetic and changing everyoil 5000 miles ????.

I used motorcraft recommended oil for the mustangs. I did change it around 7-8k miles each time. Fired change was early around 2k or so and then 8k etc. unpopular opinion but with todays oils it think 10k is perfectly normal it all depends on where and how you drive.

That tick sound like pair of keys move around but big keys, Ceratec fix it tat is magic and works good!!

The problem you had (and possibly still have) is the "2K rattle". It's not the BBQ tick. A drive around the car park isn't enough to confirm whether you've solved the problem. Let us know if the rattle is gone 500 miles from now.

@@LifeofPandK my 2019 GT cars tick is only while the engine is cold and its intermediate. Meaning it's not 100% constant. I don't have the RPM rattle and that issue isn't a gen 3 only issue. That's a Coyote in general issue I believe.

It did. I didn't do it every oil change but its advised to or maybe every other one. Each car is different.

Anytime works just follow the instructions on the label. Then after every oil change most likely would have to add again.

You're lucky. Although luckily mine is only while the engine is cold. Once warmed up mine goes away.

Your s550 mustang has 10 quarts of oil not 8 quarts of oil.i just find out about mustang histories.

Ask yourself this if a additive stops your tick then what’s really happening in your motor lmao. What also fixes the car Is trade it in before it starts to knocking like my old one did. I don’t really hear anything on your car. If you have it park and lay a camera under it and rev it to 2k. Or take it and hit 115 mph and roll down your windows it will be very loud when you let off the throttle.

I will see how it sounds after the next oil change and decide if I want to add the oil additive again. The best way to explain the sound that the car does is between 1-3k rpm in the lower gears. It sounds like injectors firing but super loudly. Or metal just hitting :O

@@underfedcoyote5.022 interesting. I have a 2018 6 speed on its 2nd motor already(failed dual mass flywheel cracked the block). Changed my oil from the beginning with the additive just in case. 2 days ago i didnt use it on my 3rd oil change at 11k miles. I did one at 3k one at 5k and one at 11k(computer still said 19% life left) anyway i had the tick appear within 20 minutes of doing my oil change. Then today i got my ceratec in the mail and after a 20 minute drive and the old "italian tune up" the tick completely went away....definitely an interesting thing if you ask me.
