I really like your calm and collected car reviews! I watch quite a lot of car reviews on youtube, spend a lot of time digesting information about cars. It's just refreshing to see someone who is not so emotionally biased, and does not look like a teenager reviewer who is excited and happy about every little detail of a car. A more down to earth and mature approach is welcome. Just wish you did a lot more youtube reviews. Lovely camera angles btw...

Great review on 1 of my current favourite cars.i love the skoda vrs.question.on the in car entertainment system,you can hook your phone up to via apple play and the android thing,but can apps like you tube and showbox be used on the centre screen.thanks in advance. Noel.also,can you imagine remapping that beast.boom.🚘🚘🚘ps the only thing I don't like about the car you have is the colour. I'd have it in blue or white or black.cheers.

the wheels seem to divide opinion, but i do like them

Sport drive mode is simply the throttle pedal sensitivity. Agree sport mode makes it harder to modulate the throttle pedal, I use normal.

yep if you go over a bump you set off like a scalded cat

This car has DCC which means the suspension gets firmer as well in sports mode.

Hello dear Barrie. Great review. I currently own Audi a4 and Ford endeavour 2.2 160hp in India. This car is coming to India in may 2020 .I was planning to sell both my cars and buy Octavia 245 and Audi q5 45 tfsi. Is it correct decision. Or should I do it differently. I would like to own one sedan and one SUV. Both powerful petrol automatics .kindly suggest. Currently getting good discounts on q5 than on x4 30i.

Rajbir Chauhan the Octavia is a great car, i also got to drive the Skoda Kodiak a few months ago and that is a great car too, you could be a 2 Skoda family

Wheels are amazing in person.

I think you are sitting way too far from the steering wheel. Your arm almost straight 23:50, 26:30. Other wise good review.

@@BarrieCrampton I agree the go pro exaggerate the view and distance probably. As you sad in your video in the link you got bad habits early on when you started to drive. Your car you drive how you like. If you make videos about driving you will get responses like that. The reason you need more elbow bend when your hand at 9 and 3 o'clock. It is purely for safety reasons.

I stopped watching when he dropped his left hand onto the gear shifter, driving one handed like that, that's sales rep driving 101.

Lovely car. I have been thinking about getting one of these, although I would stick with a manual. One of the best features is the heated windscreen. Have got that on my 2017 Golf and it is just brilliant. Much better than Ford with those annoying tiny wires.

must admit, heated windscreens should be standard on all cars these days, they are a godsend in the winter
