Just bought a red one of these. Black trim fr. It’s beautiful.

Definitely the best small car on the market, for looks, driving and comfort plus entertainment! Seat Arona could be one of the best SUVs too.

Shell isn't even that diffrent from the Clio, you can really see the resemblance like the hideous panels on the bottom of the door ;)

You didn’t mention there is also a 1.2 litre version with 110bhp and one with 90bhp

I own an 08 plate Ibiza and quite enjoy it just wish it had more power behind it. Looking at getting a new one and dissapointed it only has 90+BHP, Unless they bring out a Cupra version i'll just have to go with a older Cupra :(

JakeyJay_TV I drive an 03 Ibiza 1.4 16V with 75 HP... Considering its Age its quite a nice car and If I had the money to buy a brand new car, I would properbly wait for the 1.5 TSI engine in the new Ibiza... 150 HP and the FR Trim would be sporty enough for me although the last gen Cupra 1.8T will properbly be more iconic in the long run...

I drive an 08 FR Tdi 130 bhp and if i as going to buy another i would wait for the 150 bhp TSi. Is a pity they have dropped the 3 door option as that always suited the FR and Cupra.

There is a new FR 1.0 115bhp version you could consider though. Or even a new FR 1.5 if the 1.0 isn't enough.

There's am both a 115hp and 150hp model

Personally I think a 1.0 tsi engine 0 to 60 in 9.3 secs is great so its certainly not slow or sluggish

ekim andersom, people who have children give a fuck. Children like messing and it's too easy for them to unwind a window whilst you're driving. You can't reach around to do it up, they could be throwing things out of it or you could just simply not know the window has been left open and come back to soaking back seat etc.

Manual rear windows is only on the earlier production cars. I got mine August 2018 and I already have electric windows (without option). I think they changed it due to complaints... Also the new models that roll out of the factory right now have digital cockpit as I have still the analogs.

Bought a 69 plate Fr is pretty basic coming from a golf Gti but is smart looking and fun to drive about town the 95bhp engine struggles though a bit and only 5 speed is a pain on motorway

Supposedly these drive among the best in their class. I suppose the intererior at this point is pretty much its own biggest weakness. I guess if you're a bit handy you could improve the interior yourself.

Sorry but the seats really let it down. They're not leather and there's no sports badges on there like the fiesta ST, doesn't really look like sport seats. They're not that powerful for a 'Formula Racing' car

Seat sport is always an FR and an 115 bhp car as a sport car is fucking embarrassing a RS 197 Renault is 197 bhp as that’s acc a sport hatch it’s embarrasing a normal Volvo C30 is quicker than this but isn’t classed as a sport 😂😂😂

Vastly overpriced! When you can get a Peugeot 308, better performance, massively better interior, more tech e.g parking sensors, auto handbrake etc, similar reliability. The Ibiza dash looks very cheap and dated. While I do like the Ibiza it is overpriced for what you get!

Chris Ayres I'm not praising the old Ibiza, I'm not a fan. But this new 2017 model looks impressive. It's too early to tell but I think it's gonna prove to be one of the best small hatchbacks out there. SEAT is a brand on the up.

Looks worse than the old 3 door! Why no 3 door? Did I mention that it looks worse than the old 3 door? Are all these journalists PAID to say this car looks sleek? It doesn't. I've owned 4 Ibizas in the past.... ALL three door Sport Coupes. I've moved over to the new Fiesta. Three door!

You have to take into consideration that there are too few people ahowing interest in the 3-door-version... In my opinion every 3-door looks terribly ugly beside the bigger Coupés but Hatchbacks 3 doors nowadays do look pretty ugly

Great review, but Fiesta is 10x better.

ekim andersom Have you sat in the previous generation Fiesta? Journalists would always complain about the infotainment, that it was difficult to use. It isn't difficult to use, it's self explanatory, but scared people with the number of buttons. The previous Fiesta had a soft-touch dash, and soft-touch plastics all over the car. Ibiza doesn't offer that in this current form, or in any of its predecessors. The new Fiesta is even more comfortable that the previous one, and tablet-like Sync 3 infotainment system is easy to use and nice to look at. Ibiza is ugly, plasticy and boring. Even the Fabia has a nicer looking and better feeling interior than the Ibiza.

I prefer the Fiesta over this Ibiza, this looks like every other VAG car which is getting rather repetitive and boring. Seat used to have their own face but now it's just a VW with slightly different lining.
