The most fuel-efficient pick-up thanks to its Renault 2.3-litre dCi engine
With an NEDC combined-cycle fuel consumption of 6.3 litres/100 km and a CO2 emissions rating of 167 g/km, Alaskan is the cleanest and most efficient vehicle in its sector.
Alaskan features Renault's four-cylinder 2.3-litre dCi diesel engine, available as either a single (160 hp) or twin (190 hp) turbo and already highly popular in the Renault Master range.
The engine's twin-turbo technology combines a small turbo to provide strong torque at low revs and a larger turbo to provide more power at higher revs.
This stunning one-tonne pick-up includes:
A muscular design with dynamic front-end styling and athletic lines,
A robust build combined with outstanding travelling comfort thanks notably to five-link rear suspension and a strong ladder-frame chassis,

Enhanced diesel powertrains for outstanding fuel efficiency
New Ranger offers outstanding fuel economy, with a more efficient powertrain range - enhanced by Auto-Start-Stop technology, new final drive ratio options and the introduction of Electric Power Assisted Steering - delivering reductions in fuel consumption of up to 17 per cent.
The improved diesel line-up features 130 PS and 160 PS variants of Ford's latest 2.2-litre TDCi engine - delivering increased output compared to the 125 PS and 150 PS engines in the outgoing model - and the powerful 200 PS five-cylinder 3.2-litre TDCi unit. Both six-speed manual and automatic transmissions are available, and customers can select four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive variants. Wildtrak models feature four-wheel drive as standard.
All new Ford Ranger variants achieve significantly improved fuel efficiency, with the 160 PS model offering exceptional figures of 6.5 l/100 km (43.5 mpg) and 171 g/km CO2 emissions for reduced running costs - down from 7.8 l/100 km (36.2 mpg) and 206 g/km CO2 in the outgoing model.
Capability and refinement
The Ford Ranger remains one of the most capable and versatile trucks in its class. Customers can choose from three bodystyles: two-door Regular Cab, Super Cab with additional rear-hinged doors accessing second-row seating, and four-door Double Cab. Each bodystyle provides a rugged load box with a generous load volume.
With a class-leading ability to wade through water up to 800 mm deep, and with 230 mm of ground clearance, Ranger is designed and engineered to handle the most extreme terrains with ease. A 28-degree approach angle and 25-degree departure angle enables drivers to feel confident when taking on steep obstacles.
A robust electronically controlled transfer case allows drivers in 4x4 models to shift on the fly from 4x2 to 4x4 High using a knob on the centre console. For low-speed torque or additional downhill braking, drivers also can engage low-range 4x4 gearing, while an electronic locking rear differential helps to improve traction in difficult conditions. These off-road strengths are matched by towing capability of up to 3,500 kg and exceptional payload capacity of up to 1,260 kg....

Renault Alaskan has a wonderful exterior design
No sé qué tan buena sea la alaskan, de lo que si puedo dar fe es del excelente rendimiento de la Ranger, es una camioneta para trabajo duro, tiene una capacidad de carga extraordinaria 1.100 kilos, superando a las pick up de su segmento, ni hablar de la capacidad de remolque que le otorga su motor 3.2 diesel, es súper económica, el ABS es muy bueno además del control de descenso y subida. 2 años operando la camioneta en un terreno muy difícil y hasta ahora nunca a defraudado.
Linda essa Renault Alaska. Resta saber se vai ser boa quanto aos automóveis. Os carros da Renault são ótimos e económicos. Só deixa a desejar no acabamento interno comparado aos outros.

La ford, tiene un problema, al exigirla demasiado la temperatura del motor sube de nivel debido a su sistema de enfríamiento de las poleas o las ventiladoras.
La trepada de la Ranger!!! Todo lo demas antes lo hacias con la vieja f100 y si tuviste de esos monstruos v8 sabes lo que digo

roberto gerol el v8 fase2 de las f100 para la época eran lo ultimo,pero hoy comparado con los motores de ultima tecnología son calefones, un 1.4 turbo lo .supera en todo

ariel Rossi en todo no creo la durabilidad, el torque a bajas rpm no lo supera ni en pedo... Si la usas en la ruta le podes hacer 300 mil klm sin problema con suerte pero si la vas a trabajar no

Cuan mejor debe ser la ALASKAN como para que 3 marcas diferentes y una de gran renombre como Mercedes aya decidido usar su misma plataforma y diseño. Frontier , Alaskan y Mercedes

As duas maquinas são lindas e fortes, mas a ranger tem um motor enorme e de 3.2 litros. Isso quer dizer que comparando as duas, a ranger tem mais potência e torque. Mas esteticamente a alaskan e melhor. Está frente da alaskan ficou show...
