This one is a definite upgrade to the previous ones. This is my 3rd E class. I custom ordered mine so I was able to get exactly what I want and not have to pay for what I don't want. I have the P3 with the dual 12.3 widescreen. The dual screen is a HUGE difference in the interior look of this vehicle. The displays are amazing. If you are able to, without question get it! Overall this car is a nice ride. Interior is well designed and offers plenty of room. The drive is smooth, quiet and handles really well. The dynamic seat feature where the seat fills with air on the opposite side of your turn keeping you in center position is awesome. People knocking the 4-cyl are most likely ones that don't own this vehicle and haven't spent much time with it. Fact is this car moves. This has more power and secondary torque than the previous ones and more than most in its class. The engine might run slightly noisier than others, but not too noticeably. You have to really be looking for it. Where this car can improve is actually on it's technology believe it or not. While marketed as the most technologically advanced vehicle, it simply isn't. The autonomous driving is iffy at best. While on the freeway it will go out of well marked lanes quite often even as it's showing onscreen that it recognizes the lanes. The parking pilot misses available spots quite often rendering this feature not too useful. The remote start is absolutely useless. If you do research you'll see several MB customers are having issue with remote start. Interesting how such a long time high end auto manufacturer can't develop a reliable remote start system/app while pretty much every auto manufacturer out there has one that works near flawlessly. How does this happen? Anyway, just my experience after having this vehicle for a couple months.

You guys are simply amazing! So professional. I will disagree on the engine noise note. I had this car as a loaner a couple of weeks ago, and although it doesn't behave like a 4 cylinder it does have a pretty cheap sound when you stand next to it. All that aside it is an AMAZING sedan!

sevan grigoryan It's the quality of the features that makes a difference. A Lincoln may for example have a reverse camera but the quality if the image it displays sucks. It's not always about the amount of features but the quality of them which is why it costs more here.

I'm pretty disappointed there is not mention of the Volvo S90 in the list of competitive vehicles. It doesn't carry the same stigma these cars do, is equal in terms of build quality and equipment offerings, has a more intuitive and attractive interior, and last but not least offers a significantly better value for money than all of the competition. Yet it still isn't even an after thought in this video. What am i missing?

Charles Erickson Don't cry bro. Volvo has a long way to go to establish their brand in the luxury market. Don't get me wrong, i love them and am waiting for the next gen V40. But this is only the first time Volvo has properly stepped in the luxury segment. If you wanna argue, go ahead.

I bet you've never set foot on a new S90. Yes on video and on paper it does look like a great car/bargain, but not in real life. So I went to the Volvo dealer and tried a fully speced S90. Sorry but the interior is INFERIOR to the E Class which I drive daily. Not the actual design which is actually very nice, more modern, but the materials used. they feel A LOT MORE flimsy, cheaper, less solid than those on the E Class. Which is why they are now offering a 20% discount on the S90 already !! 5 Series and E Class are just tough tough opponents in the category. The S90 is not selling as well as they expected it. Their SUV and crossovers yes. Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice car, just not for the 60k € price they're asking. 45-48k €...yeah maybe for some.

Mercedes did a good job of simplifying the operations of the LED screen and eliminating the "touch" in the screen.

The only problem is that the E class is just a bigger C class.

Hmmm, the mid 90s early to mid 2000 E-classes were stylish and unique ! The exterior looks too similar to the C-Class. The interior looks awesome however and more than makes up for the exteriors play dough look !!

chancy319 A car's cost isn't just made up of its engine. Why should the engine size determine its price. The cost will include the level of engineering, the quality, the technology and certain things you can't see but will feel when driving it. This makes the E Class a bargain.

Alex Daley No. One is also paying for the engineering, quality and other intangible stuff you can't see but will feel when driving it.

the new four cylinder is more powerful and responsive not to mention more efficient than the outgoing 6 cylinder. So it was a smart move for mercedes.

I don’t get it, almost $80k, Mercedes couldn’t have made their V6 more powerful, more responsive and more efficient than the old one? No offense I just don’t understand it, if I want a 4, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Acura, Toyota, Nissan, and Lexus, yes Lexus hybrids and stuff, all have fantastic 4 cylinder engines, even the C-Class and BMW’s have 4’s but I’m looking at a Mercedes here and I’m looking at nearly $80k. The new 4 cyl Honda Accord touring had nice amentities, and has almost identical HP output for a car half the price. Lane keep assist, pre collision, radar cruise control etc etc. I want something to set me apart for the price that’s all.

The interior is flawless, but the exterior is now bland. It doesn't really stand out in my eye compared to the last generation E-Class.

You forgot to mention this vehicle required run flat and it will cost you $1500+ to replaced. I know, I just paid for it at discount tires.
