Nice job and very comprehensive. One thing, though. MKZ rear seats do fold down, 60/40. If you pause the vid during the trunk interior part, you can actually see the joint. Very important if you opt for the Hybrid, as trunk room is somewhat compromised. Thanks...Dave

By far you produce the very best reviews on KZread...comprehensive with classy music, an easy-to-listen-to voice and excellent camera work.Odd that this Lincoln lacks the overhead assist handles since many buyers in the class are seniors. I do like Lincoln's return to a formal signature grille and liberal yet tasteful use of chrome. With the return of the Continental name on their large saloon, I would like to see this model return to the name Zephyr.

Love this car! Looks so much better in person! Kudos to them for not adopting the huge grill that everyone is adopting from Audi. Besides the headlights, it has a unique elegant face to it. I'd only wish the car had stronger bolder shoulder lines and details. Would also rather interior in black, the light interior makes it look cheap in my opinion.

That was a great walk-around. I turned in my 2014 just so that I could get a 2016. My personal opinion is that the split-wing grill looks better on the MKZ because it makes the car look sleeker and flows better with the shape of the body. The Continental grill, while nice, is too large for a mid-size car in my opinion, and somewhat disrupts the contour. I love that they added a few niceties, but hate that they also took away some. Also, unless things have changed since 2016, the rear seats do indeed fold down. As an aside, it makes it easier to clean the rear window with the seats folded down.

The old grille didn't have a luxurious presence AT ALL, it looked painfully bland. The new grille is bolder and more sophisticated. Although the rear design is a bit mismatched with the front, the refresh actually makes the MKZ look the part of a luxury car now.

I have the 2014 2.0 . Great on gas mileages, I get almost 40 miles per gallon. I like the new look on 2017, but the only thing that I wish they didn't change is the buttons on radio or climate. Mine does not have buttons to push, it like touch screen, not on the video screen. Even the light on headline is invisible, mine you see a little white light dot and you can wave your finger over it then the light come on , for the back seated passengers.

Check out eBay, I put a HUD in my last two Lincolns. No, they are not as nice as factory, but the average person probably won't know the difference. I love it because I can check my speed without taking my eyes off of the road - you just kind of look through it. Installation takes about two minutes as it just plugs into the OBD port and the cable can be tucked into the molding rendering the cable invisible.

Just set there with the navigation up and it would do anything else And it just kind of works when it feels like it That's why you know Hey, there's always a way around it. That's much better than that Which course is after market? But it's the flagship. It's a ten point one standalone screen It's really quite amazing with the thirteen band equalizer and also has Parametric as well nine band Then you pair that up with a bunch of after market speakers and amplifiers. And wow you really do get a better sound Which my next one will probably be an in Casey. I'll take the twenty speakers out and replace it with about thirty

Don’t see the difference between this and my Fusion Platinum. The shifter is different. Like the Fusion rotary shifter better. Easier to use when self parking. That said, I like the Lincoln exterior better. Lot classier exterior. Would have looked at one except for the lack of convenient dealers in Dayton, OH.

Historically luxury cars lose values. This is not a bad thing, as it makes them more accessible to more people. Look, my 15 MKZ reserve sold new for about 45 grand. I picked mine up for just about 1/2. What does mean? it means some fool took all the depreciation, and I got a gorgeous car with 20 thousand miles on it And I'm gonna drive this car till the wheels fall off. I would say this to anyone. Buy a luxury car coming off a lease. You'll get a huge bang for your buck!

@@SeanSwann1 brother, now that's what I'm talking about. I'm not even sure which youtube thread I mentioned this on, but I loved my 15 so much, I picked up a 17 6 cyl bi turbo, earlier this year, 10 thousand miles for half of the msrp. To bad so sad for the original owner. It was also the reserve package. ( Edited to say, I still have the 15)

You better get used to smaller engines because that is the future due to tighter and tighter fuel economy standards. I have no problems spinning the tires on my 2.0 turbo, it's surprisingly fast, quiet and smooth. These are not like the old fours, this is all new technology.

Pro1er True. I'm not particularly fanatic about 4 cylinder in-lines, BUT when you add a turbocharger into it, it makes a huuuuuge difference. In fact, most cars are bringing an optional 2.0T version, just because they're becoming highly popular.

  • @Pro1er

Truth be told, the auto companies are being forced into turbo-charging engines because of fuel economy standards. They can use a smaller, more fuel-efficient engine to get the performance of a larger displacement fuel-hungry engine. In any case, it's a win-win solution.

I drove the Hybrid and it's plenty powerful for me. With gas prices soon to go up in New Jersey, it would be the only MKZ I'd ever buy. I love its' distinctive styling and that it's not another me too car like a Lexus, Acura or even a BMW or Audi. Everyone and their brother has those cars but you don't see so many MKZs.

My last car was a 2002 Caddy DTS that I drove for 13 years; @ $52k, looking back on it, you learn by experience. That, too, was overpriced & overrated. Looking for this car?
