2017 KTM 1290 Super Duke R Review - They called last year's bike "The Beast" and now they've made it better! In this video I experience my first taste of what KTM thinks a naked funster should be...but what do I make of it?

I'd buy one tomorrow if it wouldn't get stolen the first day I parked in London.
I took one of these for a 1hr blast whilst waiting to collect my GS from service and I was blown away, yes, by the performance but also, as TMF mentioned, how easy and civilised it was to ride at "normal" speeds. Purring along smoothly and, unflappable.
Loved this review. I'm already 100% certain I'll be grabbing a 19 model as soon as this awful mess we're in has passed but every review helps. Thankfully I'm yet to find anything but very positive to glowing reviews. Love your channel and your style. Thanks for everything you do.
KTM in 2017 is moving away from the hard seat and even the new 390 has a wide supportive and soft seat which is going to be amazing for long rides. this is a dream, if I get to London, can you arrange a test ride for me?

Recently bought a gen 2 SDR. Mine has the upgraded seat and it's an absolute dream. I've spent several hours on it at a time with no complaints at all. Love that you can adjust the suspension so easily. Stiffened mine up a bit and it's a phenomenal ride in the twisites.

As always a great review, I'm not really a fan of the KTM's, but this looks the business.
Gosh....as I've said before I really, really love your channel. No ego and just great straight forward motorcycle passion. Also and for the record I'm so ridiculously in need of purchasing this bike. #1 on my wish list. Fortunately no more room in the garage for another bike........yet :) You're video's also kinda make me wanna ride the U.K. a bit as well. Fascinated with the scenery. Either way.....great stuff man. What a BEAUTIFUL bike and a VERY WELL DONE review by yourself lad! Great video! I would LOVE to add one of these to my fleet some day but i fear for the cost of maintenance and reliability of the bike. I've read a LOT of issues with previous years of this bike so i am hesitant to make the purchase. I ride a 2015 ZX-6R at the moment and would love a sporty naked bike to add to my fleet. But i'm hesitant with the KTM brand.
