2017 Infiniti Q60 / Q60 Red Sport First Drive Review - DETAILED in 4K UHD!

It was only a matter of time until Infiniti translated their Q50 sedan into a coupe and jammed their excellent new 400 horsepower twin-turbo V6 under the hood. The combination is just as insane as the Q50 Red Sport 400 with two fewer doors, a snazzier interior and an extra dollop of aggressive styling. Forget the Lexus RC, the Infiniti is the BMW 4-Series fighter from Japan.

I had dinner at a banquet a couple years ago with the sales manager for a large multi-dealer group in the Chicago area. He commented that of all the brands they handled, he enjoyed driving Infinitis more than the others. He indicated they were just a more complete, more cohesive, and more consistent brand as a whole. While he liked the Acura MDX as a 3-row CUV, he said he would check out a QX60 when it was time for him to travel with his family -- again, just a nicer overall experience. I suspect this is probably what you experienced with this Q60.

Found me a Dynamic Sunstone 2018 RS with 4,100 miles on it. All electronic options, AWD, etc. $23k under original sticker, CPO and 39 months left of factory warranty.. I really like the car. Gets a lot of looks and compliments. Plenty of speed and power for me. Good gas mileage. 29mph on highway trips.

2017 Q50 RS400 AWD quarter mile 12.7 seconds, Lexus RC F quarter mile 12.9 seconds. This is because the Infiniti is very underrated from the factory, and actually makes ~375whp and ~350wtq, making both the HP and TQ at the crank over 400. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You have great reviews, no strong bias, and great "comparison information". I'm on my third Infiniti (RWD Q50 RS400) after decades of Germans and Jags, more value to me. The new 3.0tt is a great engine, torque everywhere, and I'm getting 5mpg more than the 3.7 G37 IPL I traded. Both the Q50/Q60 are beautiful cars, hiding 400 hp beasts when you want to get frisky. Keep up the great "informative" reviews.......

From someone who owned both Coupes in a G35 and currently driving a G37. I have some small pet peeves about this car. Please stop using Chrome plastic. That crap starts flaking off about 5 years of ownership. That Shinny black piano plastic needs to go. ugg. Why use that cheap crap in the interior? Other than that I think it looks awesome! How is the transmission on the new 2017 models? The G37 has a quirky transmission and I always find myself having to paddle downshift because the damn car doesn't know how to get into 3rd. Feels like it's going to stall but never has, it just has that bogged down feeling being in a higher gear than it should.

One area many european and other luxury makes falter in is front seat storage for small items. Bins and nets to put your stuff in. With a passenger along you have enough space for a wallet and maybe a pair of sunglasses. Anything else has to go in the arm console, which is often small. Add a woman with a purse and it's really confining. Even our large X5 has no more space to put things than a much smaller Volvo S60, which is no world beater itself.
