I have a 2022. Put 2500mi on it in six months. It’s my only vehicle and a daily driver. Absolutely love it. I came from sport bikes and a Harley. Speed isn’t everything.

Cool to see the scooter is still going. Before replacing the muffler cover, I would lightly sand it and spray paint it with some flat black, and see how that works out. My problem with my scooter, is worrying about idiots bumping into it while backing out of a parking space, it’s all ready happened. Fortunately it only has miner nicks on it…😵‍💫✌️

Bought a 2019 ruckus for my teenage son, same get motor and tranny, he has 6000k on it. Not bad for his first ride, we also maintain it every 5-700 miles have gone to 5.5 gram dr pulley sliders and this year will replace the belt and sliders again. Great scooters easy to maintain and a great way to show your son maintenance is key. It’s been very reliable .

I couldn't hear a word you said. You might want to try using a clip on microphone. I bought a brand new 2007 Metropolitan, which was the first generation, liquid cooling and a carburetor. I put just over 36,000 miles on it, most of that at full throttle. And I weigh 240 pounds. Most of that mileage was riding on the shoulders of southern AZ roads, where bicyclists ride. I must have replaced the rear tire about 10 times. I also went through several belts and rollers, adjusted the valves a couple of times, changed the oil about every 1000 miles. I don't know how I managed to not wear out the threads in the aluminum case where the oil drain bolt goes. I never dropped it once. There is a 2009 with under 500 miles on it on my local Craigslist right now, and I would buy it, but sadly Honda no longer makes parts for it, so I could be stuck with a paperweight if something were to go wrong. I'm having problems finding parts for my bought used with 1800 miles on it 2006 Vespa GT200. I wish companies would support what they sell.

Sorry about the sound. Many parts are available. Some parts like a muffler $500 due to scarcity. It’s too bad.

top speed keep the same as new .. or has decreased after years ?

Mine is 2013 , air cooled engine instead of liquid cooled. Just bought it. Anyone has had any issues with air cooled Metros ? Apparently Honda tried air cooled in 2013-2015 but switched back. Wonder why.

Why leave it in parking lot ? They so small you need a secured location . Or keep a eye on it

? How are the long lower plastic pieces removed? The ones on each side of scooter below the floorboards thanks

A couple of screws and just snaps really

Problem: 2018 with 700 miles. Acceleration is normal up to about 20mph then it struggles to hit its 38mph top speed. Air filter is clean, oil changed and it was worse before I put fuel system cleaner in it. Any ideas on what to check? Could it be just bad gas? Thanks!

I believe the lower one fell out, leaving the upper bolt stressed and then it cracked. Check those muffler bolts!

@@eddiebaird8368 I have not replaced the belt. It seems to be working fine. The helmet was a plain matching red helmet that got scratched up a bit and so I sticker bombed it with snow skiing stickers water skiing stickers etc.

@@eddiebaird8368 It was uncovered unfortunately for the year. It did fine but a cover would’ve been nice. I feel bad about it now.
