Ishmael Thomspon Songs in sports are a weird gray area. The stadium has rights to songs and in NFL, those songs leak onto the broadcast, but it's not like the sole focus is the entrance or anything. What would make this case any different?

Can you imagine how intimidating that place/entrance would be if Virginia Tech was an elite/yearly championship contender like Bama, Clemson, or Ohio State?

As a VT alum, I can tell you that every game is this hype for the fans, especially the students. Sure, playing Clemson and Ohio State in 2015 made everyone more excited and even more hyped to try and intimidate the brother team and fans but even against FBS teams, the students go nuts when the song starts

As a Clemson fan, this was honestly cool af to watch, gave me chills and hyped me up for the game. And that was on TV. Would love to attend a game at VT and experience in it person.

This game was my senior year at Tech, I remember yelling and not being able to hear even my own voice. Whole body was vibrating and we broke the north endzone bleachers. One of the top 5 loudest games in the country and Goodwin hall about 3 miles from the stadium picked it up on their seismograph. We saw the first 3 modes of vibration from the building in a lab later in the year (it has about 40k sensors in it for vibratory analysis).

Zach P not true the shoe can get just as loud for a night game. Most day games are average. Don’t believe me? Vince young and Matt Barkley say it was the toughest environment they ever faced, Coach Mack a brown said he could not hear himself think. But that’s college football in general lmao

Zach P I too was at the game as a Buckeye fan. A couple games I’ve been too got Ohio Stadium to get as loud as VT that game (2015/2017 vs Penn State, 2016 vs Michigan). There is quite a lot of wasted potential in our experience. We just need the crowd to constantly crank out noise

As a Virginia Tech Alumni, I went to every single home game during my four years at VT. My freshman year at VT was the year we went to the National Championship game against FSU with Michael Vick as our quarterback. I have also been to pro-football games. I can absolutely assure you, without a doubt, NOTHING beats the energy of a huge college football game, and Virginia Tech ALWAYS brings that energy. The Enter Sandman entrance, experienced live at Lane Stadium, is unlike any other experience you can imagine. It is a beast of adrenaline and tradition. As a freshman in college, I was spoiled. I was spoiled by Michael Vick's Houdini-like ability to avoid tackles. I was spoiled by win-after-win, often by overwhelming scores. I was spoiled by seeing the ESPN College Football tv crew appearing at nearly all of our games, as if this were just normal. And I was spoiled by our one-of-a-kind Enter Sandman entrance. I was too young and it was too overwhelming for me to really comprehend how unique that experience was. I can look back on it now and recognize how amazing it was and how fortunate I was to have that experience multiple times over four years. Thank you VT!

Penn State fan here....this is BY FAR thee best and most amazing entrance in all sports and IMO nothing comes close. I get goosebumps every time I see this. If I were a recruit and was at one of these big games seeing this, my decision would be made instantly. Hokie Nation yall are second to none.

Honestly the video doesnt do it justice on how loud Lane Stadium gets, but Death Valley is a stadium no one wants to go too. Only 3 schools that i know of have had richter marking from the game VTx4, Auburn and LSU. Good shit LSU.

I’m a longhorns fan and I’ll tell you one thing nothing will beat this entrance ever. Former Tech players to this day still get goosebumps watching it on TV. I seen Tyrod Taylor with his dad at a bar watching it and man he got up and was just pacing back and forth just excited as hell.

I’m a cadet and being in the center of this stadium while Enter Sandman is playing is an amazing experience.

It's so electric when you're there. Best college football entrance song ever. Point blank period.

That's better than nothing. Yea NH is a tough state for college FB. Most of the rabid CFB fans with lit stadiums are in the south. Even the BIG 10 teams that are "close" to you are pretty far away. Syracuse has a good coach and plays in a dome so if they can catch some momentum the might be worth going to see in a few years. Until then stick to the Pats. I've never been to a pro game since, Charleston SC is pretty far from any pro team, but I've heard they don't have the same electric feel as CFB games. Just add a big college game to your bucket list.

All though we still have loyal fans they still sellout almost every game. It is true Buffalo is snow capital of the USA we get 10-12 feet most winters from Lake Erie

I’m a (insert rival school) fan and this was awesome

as a girl raised in the blacksburg area this is an AMAZING experience! it’s like experiencing a earth quake without being in one. what they don’t show here though is that during most games they bring out a cannon and shoot it off right before the song begins. i’m also proud to say that i’ve ran through that tunnel and touched the stone… just had to add that last bit in :))

I'm a Clemson fan and I've always thought this is one of the coolest entrances for sure. Lane Stadium is crazyyyy at night. I was a freshman in 2011 when VT and FSU were the big dogs in the ACC. We wound up winning twice against VT, but I was pretty scared going into the first one in Blacksburg

We ran out to this in the mid 90s, small school high school football and that gave me chills. I can't imagine how amped up these boys get running into that stadium hearing that music...

It worked once during the miami game a few years ago but has not worked since. Hope they stop doing this.

I came to know about Virginia Tech back in…2005-2006 for the wrongest of reasons 😢 I was an MDC student back then. But what an institution that is. Talk about infrastructure! The campus, the students, their football team - how memorable would it feel to be part of that. I always thought.

I just discovered this because VT is playving on german television today. This entrance gives me goosebumps

In high school we use to walk down the steps of our stadium to enter the sandman... it's one of the best feelings.
