@@jlra5734 always. These trucks have a very sensetive ECM and the emissions system/sensors need to be de-learned from the ecm

Both this video and the egr video helped me out a lot. Didn’t run into any real issues. My stock egt probe was extremely tight inside the crossover pipe and some of my connectors were a little tricky.

Loved the video. Thanks for going so in depth on the removal of the dpf. I haven’t been able to find anything like this on the 2017+ 6.7 Powerstrokes. Quick question though. Do you have to load the new delete tunes into the truck prior to actually removing any of the parts or can you load them after? I’ve heard some people say you have to tune the truck before or the computer will know and basically put it into limp mode. Just wanted to clarify.

Same way I want to delete mine and keep the factory exhaust tips. Personally looks way better to me than the 5" tips other kits sell plus more expensive.

I love that set up. I just ordered a 2021 F-350 XLT 6.7 Tremor and plan to just do the dpf delete pipe. I will keep the stock tail pipes. No need for a 5" exhaust imo. I just want longevity, increased efficiency and a bit more power. Thank you for the video.

Hello...Have you done the CP4 disaster prevention kit on your 6.7? I have the "no limits" egr delete kit was thinking of doing both at the same time.

Where did you get the delete pipe. I can't find any companies or websites that sells them. The only on I found is in Canada and they can't ship to the U.S.

Doing it that way, is there room for a muffler or would you have to buy the rest of the pipe to the back?

Hey where did you get the block off plate for the egr ?

I drove from the Oregon Coast to N. Idaho and back down to S. Idaho at 2500 RMP most of the way with limited acceleration and the stupid message saying, "Drive to clean...". I'm so pissed off at this emissions crap that I'm ready to remove it forever. This looks like a good starting point. Is there more information about resetting the computer and getting the new straight pipe? Do I need to get the pipe custom-made? I'm sure the computer will not be happy when I disconnect all the sensors. How do I deal with that? My truck is the 2014 F350 Super 6.7 Turbo Deisel.

Yes you want to get rid of the EGR cooler and the EGR housing. Then you use block off plates to redirect the exhaust gases.

As long as the tune closes the EGR you can just unplug it

Yes it is noticeable louder without the DPF. No MPG would have no noticeable difference caused by what exhaust tip you choose.

Interesting and informative procedure, my question is this- ( I have a 2017 which I bought new) when you flash through the OBD will it erase all fault codes and keep them from reappearing? And will the trucks history know you did this if you have to reinstall the DPF? I have 42 miles on the odometer now. Thank you

Yes it will clear codes and block the associated faults from returning. As far as the history I’m not sure about that. For me I won’t be re installing so I wasn’t concerned about that.

Once you tune it there will be a footprint left, even if you re install everything and flash the stock tune back in.

So you don’t have to use a tuner? To reprogram

I ordered all my stuff from DPF Delete Shop. They’re in Canada, but don’t have EPA crap to deal with. You can not legally buy a tuner with delete tunes in the US.

Looking for some info almost nobody covers....... what do ya do with the def fluid ..... is the inlet pipe just hanging loose .... is their a plug for the end of it . Do you have to disconnect the power to the pump. How do you stop the fluid without any input from the No2 sensors.

I zip tied the line up and also disconnected the 2 connectors at the def tank/ pump. They are super easy to disconnect. They are located on the bottom of the tank and have a access flap that drops down. Sorry I didn’t realize I forgot to mention this.

Great video Quick question! I’m going with a tune and 5” pipes. But I’m curious. If I were to run new pipes before the tune comes in. After pulling out everything you did. Does it not throw codes and freak out because the computer is still looking for all the DPF and sensors? Thanks

The kit was $1100. I just ripped the finger portion of a nitrile glove off and put them around the connectors and zip tie them to keep them dry and prevent corrosion. Or if you want a more professional solution you can buy a kit like this upcountryfab.com/product/2015-2016-ford-6-7l-dpf-harness-plug-kit/

I live on Michigan and you do not need to be tested like in California for emissions laws every year if you know what I mean. I guess I'm afraid of getting caught with a deleted truck and getting a ticket. Am I just overreacting or how do you feel when you friends around with the deleted truck

No, the tuner is only plugged in when you are re flashing the truck. The only exception would be if you are data logging or would like to leave it plugged in to display any gauges.

@@ckonthebay1950 Sorry for the late response in I recall correctly the switch wires into the intake air temp sensor. Also it does not matter if you program the truck before or after unplugging everything since you will be clearing the fault memory in the process anyways.

I have my truck f250 2009. In Angola where they don’t have ULFD available… Been getting fuel from Namibia. But the finances are scarce 😢… Is there any solution to run a normal diesel without compromise the engine?! Need a help!

HI Anildo, I'm not sure what type of emissions equipment is installed on a 6.4 in Africa. If you don't have a DPF or EGR cooler I don't think you would have an issue running a higher sulfur content diesel. If you do have a DPF our EGR cooler I would stay with ULSD as higher sulfur content diesel will result in significantly more particulates that will eventually clog these systems. Hope this is helpful!

Just a tune, some people buy plug kits to protect the disconnected connectors from corrosion but I did not.

@@rbell944 Thanks! I did have to re flash the truck. I chose to get the cheaper SCT tuner that was included with the kit versus the more popular and expensive ez lynk. For me I couldn't justify the additional cost of the EZ lynk tuner. The kit I purchased comes with 5 tunes already pre loaded, you just have to plug into your obd port and follow the instructions. You can change the tune from 0HP all the way to an additional 220HP just by turning a switch.

Matt B. Once the DPF and EGR are removed you will need to re flash/ tune the truck immediately after. I made a video for both EGR and DPF removal.

No, there's a pump in the def tank. Leave it about half full or full incase you ever have to put the dpf back on

The increased fuel economy is from letting the engine breathe. 2018 F250 6.7….. DPF/EGR delete, cold air intake, 5 inch downpipe back exhaust, and I get about 21 mpg on a race tune.

It's all the nonsense the Democrats are shoving down our throats! It's not only trucks. Years ago, due to stricter emission regulations, auto manufacturers had to go to direct injection of gasoline into the combustion chambers. This bypassed the back sides of intake valves that use to get cleaned by the injector spraying the back sides with gasoline. Now EGR valves dump bypass gases from the crankcase back into the manifold and this builds up carbon on the back sides of the intake valves for direct injection engines. Guess what, it costs thousands of dollars to use walnut blasting or other methods to remove these carbon deposits after 70K or 80K miles on the engine! Another strick EPA law that basically does nothing in the overall scheme of things and yet, this costs consumers thousands of dollars in maintenance costs!
