2017 Audi Q3 UNBOXING Review - We Figured Out How To Make It Even Better

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

For our latest unboxing review we bring you the 2017 Audi Q3, a crossover that not only appeals to soccer moms and dads, but also to hot hatchback owners who now have families. Powered by Audi's familiar turbo 2.0-liter inline-four with 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque, power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Zero to 60 mph happens in 7.8 seconds. We know, that's not exactly fast but in the US this is the best engine the Q3 offers. Overseas, however, is where the Q3 truly shines in the form of the RS Q3 Performance and its turbo 2.5-liter inline-five with 306 hp and 310 lb-ft. It's a shame that engine isn't offered stateside, but the Q3 Americans can buy is still a typical fantastic Audi inside and out. The interior, once again, sets a benchmark for overall materials and quality and when it comes to pricing, it's actually reasonable. Base price is $31,800. Not bad at all. But what did our Q3 cost? We talk about that and much more in the review. Enjoy!

In all fairness, some of the screen sizes today are ridiculously big! (I’m talking to you Mercedes.) I like the Q3. I’ll be going into my second one soon. From a 2015 to a 2018. They do give a lot more “tech” than back in 2015, but I wish it was better updated. I do agree that it is a much smoother ride than the BMW X1! Those run-flat tires are a disaster. Also, the driver seat in the X1 was rather low and definitely not as comfortable as in the Audi. Audi’s interiors are the most luxurious and driver friendly in the industry.

If Audi is listening, please add (options) for the Advanced Safety Systems =)

Just got the same package in white. Love it! Especially the Sports driving mode. I do disagree with space in the back though: fits two average height adults just fine. What's missing is paddle shifters and remote start)

I think the paddle shifters and remote start will appear on the next-gen Q3.

Funny, here in Brazil every Q3 2.0 is DSG 7 (DB500) with dual clutch

I was strongly considering this too but I'll wait for the 2018 Q3, might be in that new MBQ platform, maybe better fuel efficient and hopefully Audi includes the new digital cockpit as an option.

If Audi is listening plz add Memory Seats and Heas up display. These lack even in Q3 2019 model.

I noticed that the model you have does not have drive select and the S-Line Sports seats? Is that not available in the US?

They are, but this particular model didn't have them. Shame.

Old platform does have the benefit of better reliability since its kinks have been worked out. Perhaps that's why consumer reports rated the Q3 top 10 reliable vehicles in the 2016 reliability rankings.

Exactly! That's a point I like to make regarding cars approaching the end of their life cycles; the kinks have been (mostly) worked out and the car is about as evolved as it can get.

That's crazy, the interior is almost identical to the 2010 pre-facelift Mercedes. Which is actually good because the newer Mercedes interiors look cheap and sporty.

How tall are you ? Do you feel a 6'3" person would fit comfortably in the drivers seat?

Yup....no problems fitting on any seat. Except for the tight middle rear seat. But driver seat would comfortably fit a 6'3" person
