robin fisher Do not get it, it's very loud, it makes me smile every time I start my bike, it makes me laugh every time I change gears and give it more throttle. What a nightmare 👌

@Southpaw 76, thanks for your comments, just to add for the brake lights sensor - I warp it around with electrical installation tape (to protect it) and used sugre mouldable glue to mount it on the rear set, it works a treat.

How did you fit the abs from your bike to the shorter rearset? There is no hole to mount the black module that I can see. Im doing the same like what you’re doing but I’m struggled and need help 0:35

Not too much noise with the db killer ?

You've had the 16 and like my 16 you get the valve still which I like as baffle out it's still OK at low revs. This is my only worry when I go euro 4

I love this exhaust, seen a few guys here on youtube get them, how bearble is it when riding is it to loud? because although its sounds amazing it sounds loud as fck and that might do my head in on my commute every day lol

Agree, could not commute every day, but for those special days the sound when you do it totally toxic. one do feel like a bad dude though :-)

once you receive a new map or install a race ecu those exhaust stock cables and servo motor inside the right fairing are no longer required.

Very nice! Did you have any error message on the dash board without Race ecu? (because aprilia told me that he i mount this kind of exhaust and delete exhaust valve, i will have an error code till i don't buy the race ecu...)

No error on dashboard yet, this may happen. I'll let you know if this happening before installing the race ecu.

I removed the cable because the servo motor is still active, once you get a mapping from Aprila or install the race ecu this will disable the servo motor. The valve is in the slip on for the 2017 model.

Just curious, What ECU upgrade did you go with or are you considering?

Well, this is my second RSV4 RF and only minor complaint I have is I hope the next RSV4 come with LED, anything else would be added just a bonus, the electronic works seamlessly. On the track, this bike is a guided weapon and also very forgiving and on the road, with the GPIR setup I am in heaven the noise and the pops is just insane. Some people complain about the heat in the traffic jam/riding, yes that is definitely true but I think most litre bike do anyway. finally, I advise you to take a test ride because it's quite tall which is fine for my height, you also sit on it not in it if you know what I mean, happy hunting 👍

@@TheEarlster Nice, well i got a chance to ride one on the street very briefly as my buddy and i switched for a couple hours and i loved it. As to the heat i donlt think it can measure up to anything remotely close to the panigale. That thing in traffic is a nighmare when it comes to heat and i hear the new V4 is even worse at that. As regards to the track i have only had my 1199 on the track and never have riden an RSV4 so that part i would like to find out for myself. My only complaint was that the bike did feel rather small with my height comparerd to my Ducati which i felt "more in the bike" if you know what I mean but I still want to get an RSV4. Cheers.

I totally hear you Dillon, and for me, it’s like I’m on a 600cc (due to my size) until when I open up the throttle. But in a weird way I like that feeling, i.e. stretch over and mean business on track. I also rode the Ducati Panigale V4 S on track (not had pressure to ride the 1199) on track and it felt the same size wise but not power. I’m 212 pounds in weight so bikes will feel small to me, but I sat on the BMW HP4 Race and it’s a totally different animal for comfort wise, I’m looking for another bike maybe it's the new S1000R or RR we will see, I think personally you will have a hard choice because this is some have great bike out there - good luck.

I hear you Hello Martynas, I had the same feeling when I was thinking of purchasing a Tuono or RSV4, but ended up buying an RSV4 with the idea of doing a few track days to get the thirst out of my system, not sure where you are but a couple of the buddies have a Tuono and there are always smiling.

As far as I'm aware this is an default settings, I've never changed it since purchase

if you like sport bikes you cannot go wrong for sounds and passion, for me it's the best purchase ever, yesterday I was on track with a buddy on his Ducati V4s and my bike was such a pleasure to ride, if you are not planning to take the RSV4 on track then I find my RSV4 not very enjoyable around town mainly because it's a race bike which urges you to go fast, I would love to own the MT-10, it's a great super naked bike too.

ditto but only six track days a year for me, but I hear you mate before you make that final decision and if you haven't done so already take out the Tuono 1100 for a test ride and compare it with the MT10, if you love the v4 sounds you won’t be disappointed with that said a decent can on the MT10 sound the nuts too, happy hunting 👌👊

I have the SC Project Moto GP pipe with the carbon tip and grate. Its by far the loudest pipe ive heard on the RF by far. Not that i was going for that i thought it looks bad ass. Honestly when i first got it i was like um this is to loud. After a days use you find it INTOXICATING. Its fucking loud.

I'm hearing you and you're right, I've since put back my AR because of its loudness agree very intoxicating, I cannot imagine anything else louder, I have to look out for the SC Project Moto GP pipe 😊

That’s great mate. Glad to hear that you’re happy with the outcome. Any lumpiness or juddering at low speeds? Do you feel like it’s running too rich or lean without the race ECU? Is it as smooth compared to when the stock exhaust was on? So what next? Race ECU and Dyno? Thanks for uploading this, it’s certainly going to be a great help when I get my next exhaust, hopefully soon too!

Hey Daisuke nope, well not yet but I have to ride to the dealership to fit the Race ECU so I'll let you know the difference between without and with Race ECU. Yes, Dyno is definitely on the cards.

Definitely Akrapovic, my problem is I need an exhaust that meets the UK rules on track days love to try the SC Project S1 but at least the AR I have the option, real shame though.

Yep, without the valve the sound at idle is now the same that 2k15 models. Euro 4 is a shame, my tuono 2k15 is at 107 db @ 5500 rpm and the 2k17 at same rpm is at 98 db. That damn valve really bother me, and just for that i'll keep my 2k15 with the valve. Removing it will be useless due to the huge sound of euro 3

How have You done It that your Bike doesn't Show You an Error in the Display because You removed Your exhaust clap?? I really want to know because i get my Euro 4 RSV4 in Match:)

Hello Philipp, congratulation on your expected RSV4. When I removed my OEM Euro 4 exhaust, I also removed the two butterfly cables going to the servo motor (RSH fairing) but left the servo motor connected. I did not see any error riding and being this was only short-lived, I'm not sure if I left it this way eventually an error would pop up on the dashboard if push hard.

I hear you Philipp, the SC or AR does look the business on the RSV4 for sure, note - the sound is very loud and you are definitely heard. Although the carbon Akrapovic is longer, it's quite gorgeous against the other carbons of my RSV4. I will be using the Akrapovic for those quiet days riding. Yes the rearset is from a 2015/16 model, this allowed me to fit my 2016 AR GP1R onto the 2017 model, if you are buying a new exhaust then you do not need to do this mod.

I've just come up with something. you said in your other video you have installed the race ecu - do you have a performance loss with the austin racing without flap? Because if not, I'll buy that as well as you do and that's an akrapovik and a SC Project. And what about the warranty? :) Thank you very much

Not noticed this on downshift, but must admit haven pay any attention but on de-accelerating it crackle and pops, noticed this more on the SC Project

Apologies for the delay, I believe a remap is required, I had the race ECU on mine.

Earlster ,I see you ride on the balls of your feet (likewise) any burnt boot marks on the gpr ? Also I heard aprilia will not honour the warranty if anything other than ackrapovic is fitted .

Louie bam bam Elwood - Even since I've taken up track days I ride on the balls of my feet, in a strange way I feel more ready and focus. No burnt marks boot Dainese boot or gp1r but I've since adjusted the setting. Correct but Aprilia will not honour the warranty if it's found to be a "valve issue" with anything another than Akrapovic is fitted, the warranty is valid for anything else mentioned by my dealership. I've purchased and fitted a race ecu and Akrapovic so this will be my main configuration especially when I'm at the track. I could of just purchased the Akrapovic and get the approved map, but I do like the other exhaust system i.e the AR and SC.

Tell me about it lol - if you and your environment are ok with the loud noise - you will not regret it, the tidy look on the exhaust bring out the beauty of the rsv4 too,

Are you having trouble with the dealership they told me only akropovich is the one were you can go too. if I want to keep the warranty lol. Witch is big and ugly for my taste.

I’ve no issue with my dealership, they told me if my Austin Racing causing any valve issue then the warranty will be avoided So, I brought the akrapovic for my track days, I do not use my AR for track day's and they are ok with that.
