SC Project is amazing! Just bought one for my s1k and I'm totally impressed by the craftmanship and the sound is incredible. I've had it a little over a week and it's already starting to change colors on the link pipe, and also inside the canister. Stunning!!

Perfectionist spotted! Haha :D I totally agree, by the way! AR pipes tend to have a weird angle, but I can see that being desirable for some people. Still, I'd take the SC in a heartbeat!

I got a SC-Project myself sometime ago when I didnt even know what SC-project was, bought it for the good look, and damn it sounds awesome. Still use it with baffle, but when I open my Hornet up, its like thunder! From now, only SC project will go into my bikes.

SC Project Exhaust

I can't thank you enough for this video!! SC Project has the color changing plus it's looks.... but the Austin has a beefier sound to it and it matches on color. You've made my decision hard :P

I've got the Austin racing on my RF it has that perfect rumble !! combined with the quickshifter when on full gas just totally blows your mind wicked !! good work ib !

I love the Austin power .. both sound very similar I love the way the Italian stripes on the exhaust match the bikes stripes and the exhaust is over all better looking for that bike

I think the AR looks better on the bike. Honestly not a dramatic difference in sound to me.

AR color on the sticker match bike perfectly and sound is great...SCP is also good but I would give edge to AR

That sc exhaust sound a little louder but has a straight deep sounding rumble. Austin has less noise but more of a vibrating deep sound. They both sound similar but has it own character to the rumble and they both look awesome.

thks for the good sound comparison, I just purchased the sc project for my s1rr and have not gotten it in the mail yet. I'm thinking about picking up an rsv4 rf and between thee two the ARgp1r is more aesthetically appealing & sounds better in my opinion so i'd be considering it if I end up picking up the rsv4

Hey 650. In the "looks" department I lean toward the Austin unit. It simply has more character. But I prefer the sound of the SC. It reminds me more of my Competition Werkes unit. Though they both sound amazing. But we all have our personal preferences. There is no right or wrong. I love making SOUND video's of our beloved RSV4's. The best sounding machine I've ever heard. Much better than the new V4S.

Both super similar. I don't know much about either. The color change looks sweet on the SC Project. They sound pretty similar but because the RC sounds quieter you can hear more motor. I'll go SC AT REV and AR at idle. Would like some more vids on the FZ10!! I've got one and can't decide on an exhaust and a few other mods. Going to Superbike Unlimited on your recommendation for ECU flash!

The sounds are very similar but I love how the Austin racing just looks like it was custom made for this bike. It matches the bikes color scheme perfectly

They both sound beast.

I have never been a fan of V4 engines but god they sound beautiful, I love the sound of both of those exhausts, think I may be converted.

What are the performance and weight specs on both of them?

The AR looks like it was made for the bike and is plenty gnarly sounding. The SC probably sounds a bit more aggressive too most, but in person that bike sounds AmazinG with the stock can so it's really just preference. Have a custom full exhaust done on that bike and it's ferocious! 👍

I'd go with the Austin racing personally...and the lil Italian decal on the side of the muffler is a nice touch too.

I like the AR look and sound it growls, I’ve heard the aprc with an sc in real life it was a little tinny, still wicked though.

I like the Austin Racing sound, to me it has a bit more bite :-) And yes, I am wearing a gaming headset lol. 650ib's windscreen is a nice upgrade on the RSV4.

the austin racing tip looks damaged at first glance. dont like the end of the tip on the austin. Id have to go the SC for the looks

Both sound awesome. The AR is definitely a bit more aggressive as the SC is clean. Both loud and they would be good either way just depends on how mean or how clean you want to be

@650ib you should have done a flyby around the corner back and forth for both exhaust but the sc project exhaust is better overall i've heard that one in person at least.

They need to be combined somehow as the SC Project is gorgeous but the sound of the Austin is awesome!

I see a lot of comments saying the sc project. But I actually prefer yours. It has the green white & red that matches the underneath of the fairing. The initial startup sounded better on the gp exhaust. But when u revved the sc project exhaust it sounded louder with more of a rumble. All in all. If I had that bike I'd go with your setup IB. But I would def change the reservoir to his. It compliments the bike quite nice

I'd go SC for sound and it looking a bit longer and thinner, I'd bet your low end is going to be stronger. I've got an Akra on my 17 Tuono. I went Akra thinking it's the best, most specifically designed for the bike choice. That's not necessarily true. Check the cheap option, Arrow Pro Race Nichrome. I may have to try it out. Looks awesome in black and sounds pretty crazy. Nice vid 650 ib!

Which one makes more power, and where?

Both these exhausts sound amazing ib but i do prefer the sound of the Carbon Akrapovic can i have on mine that said i do prefer the look of your Austin Racing ib. Oh what bulbs are you running ib?

The SC project is definitely a cleaner look and a cleaner sound. But that super aggressive Austin racing grows on you quick!

Would the short version of the SC on the Aprilia change the sound like will it sound raspier like the R1 with SC

Question about the mid pipe, is there a Cat converter there? Or is it a straight pipe once these slip ons are installed?

The problem with exhaust videos is that they'll never truly capture what you hear in person. That heart palpitation inducing sound that comes from an Aprilia can only be experienced in person.

The AR doesn’t look as good as the SC Project but sounds heaps more aggressive. It’s the AR for me 650.

Both exhausts look and sound great...however...gotta give the prize to the Austin Racing GP1R for looks and sound...twin beauty!

the Austin is more my taste, but I wouldn't say better or worse. The SC sounded a little more "cammed" if that makes sense. I might very well prefer the SC exhaust whilst riding the bike in the peak power range. Cool video fellas. I wish you would do a quick sound video of the EBR, my favorite of the bunch.

You should check out the G.P.R. Thunder Slash slip-on for that bike 650ib!

It's close, but I have to give the nod to the SC Project slip-on for it's sound quality and the purpose-driven styling (plain, but functional). Ride aware, and "Keep on keeping on!"

I have always liked CS Project exhaust and wanted one for my bike the 04 ZX10R but after hearing the AR GP1R...I'm not sure!

The AR looks better on that bike. Not that much diff but I think the SC sounded better. Nice vid and comparison. So rare to see the same bike/motor side by side. Peace.

The Aprilia and the Austin Racing Exhaust has the best sound. I heard it in person and gave you compliments about it. But SC Project exhaust still sounds good.

The Austin Racing sounds better than the SC project in this video. From what I can tell is that the AR is the GP1R model. There are other types available, such as, the GP2R and the V3 and each of their colors may be customized. I can’t tell which SC project is in the video but it looks like possibly the CRT. Great video! What would look good if you had a dB meter to measure the sound levels during the video. Awesome to see these two brands side by side! Thanks!!!

oh man 2 very close sounding exhaust .. I believe I like the Austin racing for the lower grunt revs ... I may have liked the sc for the higher revs a bit more !!

Hey Bruce. You don't need the Aprilia Race ECU. I tried it with and without the race ecu and I didn't notice a difference. There are no fault lights or error codes if you don't use the race ecu.

+Stephanie Connelly Don't use the insert. It makes the exhaust quiet. It sounds terrible with the insert.

I had my austin gp1r slip on installed on my RSV4 rf today and the dealership told me I need to upgrade the ecu and also air filter. I noticed that the notes that arrived with the slip on informed me that a remap or ecu upgrade was not necessary! I'm an illiterate when it comes to these mods. Can you please tell what I should do. Stephanie Connelly Hi there. You absolutely DO NOT need the ECU flashed or the bike mapped! I tested the Aprilia race ecu on my bike and didn't notice a difference. Please have them remove the decibel insert from the canister and you're all set.

GPR Thunderslash is my fave for RSV4/Tuono. But between these two I prefer the GP1R.

Question, would u still get these pipes if it wasn't no badge on it ? Also is the price worth the hp gain .

i like the austin racing better i think it enhanced the character sound of the v4 better well thats my opinion i love ur videos man and all ur bikes ofc
