2016 Toyota Camry Brake Pad Removal and Replacement

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

How to remove and replace the brake pads on a 2016 Toyota Camry. Should be the same procedure for years 2012-2017 and a similar procedure for other years. I also give my opinion on when to "turn" your rotors and what bad rotors potentially look like.

You should show how to get those separator clips in that hold the pads apart when you leave your foot off the brakes. They are tough to work with.

About half way through you went off and just confused me with the clips and extra bolt at the end

I have a 2017 toyota camry se with 24,000k miles on it. my brakes feel "spongy" like I have to hit them hard if I had to stop quickly. I was about to go and get front brake pads changed. I was told my mileage is too low. low brake pads are not the problem, most likely. he said I might just need a brake adjustment.... My question is do you think my brake pads are ok? that there not worn down??

Typically 24k miles is a bit early to change brake pads. Did they look at how much meat was left on the pads?

Usually spongy brakes means there is air in the brake line. You need to bleed the brakes. It is not hard but you need two people to do it. One to press the break pedal and the other to close the bleeding nut when only brake fluid is coming out of it. KZread has lots of videos on this. Here is a good one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/g5hnxLd-Z7XQh5s.html

I have the Camry Atara SX 2016 model, but for some reason, the brake pad bolts aren't 14mm. They're smaller. I'm not sure what other sizes it could be though, any suggestions?

should've done just brake pads for the sake of the video title then do the rest afterwards.

I was hearing a weird sound when I step on my 16 SE. I had the brake disc and pads changed, yet the noise is persistent. What do I do please?

It's really hard to point you in the right direction without being in person, but it's the sound inside the car or external at the brakes? If so is it one specific wheel?

@@riddyvibe there's several metal brackets like I show in the video that possibly didn't get aligned properly that should be scraping.
