    Thank you for this great in depth video, I purchased my beautiful 2017 Aurion last year mine sadly is the base model being an atx would had loved a Sportivo or presara but luxury aside I couldn't be happier with my Aurion the 2gr-fe engine is amazing and will be keeping it for as long as I can.

    Just for reference to anyone watching in this video in the future. In regards to the CAT converters in the exhaust, there are 3 CATs in total. 1 in each header from the exhaust manifold (like Lachy said), and the 3rd one is just after the Y pipe where both headers merge into a 1 1/4" exhaust pipe. From there the exhaust goes back through a larger pipe which is like a resonator (not like ones you find on 4cyl cars), then it goes into another Y-pipe to each muffler. -\v6/ - | | cat cat | | \ / \ / | cat | | | | | | | -resonator area (just a larger diameter wrapped pipe) | | | | /\ / \ / \ |8| |8| -Mufflers

    I've a red Aurion SX6 2013, never missed a beat, the only thing I've had was the door actuators failed on three doors. Would be nice to have a newer car but it's so reliable and fast it would be hard to sell.

    Beautiful condition vehicle, great review!! I've got an ATX similar vintage, I've eyed the Presara off many times, however, can't depart with a perfectly good and trouble free ATX!

    Thanks for such informative information! Similar to you l purchased the VERY last Presara in 2017. Ideal! PS; Being a meticulous (nearing OBSESSIVE bloke) l keep mine in new'ish condition. Beneath the bonnet my Presara remains a 'maiden' after 3 years - 17,000 kms!

    @@margaret-rosedonnelly4454 You've chosen well! The word 'Presara' has been used here in Australia - Presara being the flagship of the Aurion series until Australian production ceased in 2017. Best regards, Pete

    Gratitude is delivered to you yet again Lachy. Of prominent interest to this 2017 Presara owner, it’s elating to learn that the MOTOR is similar to that of the Lexus…may I ask you to expand upon that aspect? All the best, Pete

    Excellent review and very thoroughly explained well. A quick question in regards to the memory seat. Previous 2012 Sportivo ZR6 models also has this feature but does it also save the settings for the side mirrors too or just the seats? Cheers

    Thoroughly enjoyed the review bro! Are there any major differences between this and the Aurion Sportivo 2017? And have any problems risen with your Presara at all?

  • @mrxss1

    @mrxss1

    2 жыл бұрын

    Awesome! Thank you for you’re support! There pretty much the same, but with the Sportivo your gaining stiffer suspension and a nice body kit with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Only thing you lose with the Sportivo is the lane departure warning that the Presara has. Still both great cars! I almost bought a Sportivo but this Presara came up and had really low k’s on it I couldn’t refuse! To be honest its been really reliable with a couple of small things like the paint chips really easily, the auto wipers didn’t work when I picked up the car and the speakers in the back cut out and aren’t the best. Things like that, however stick around and I will do a video about all this! Tia Lachy

    Thanks Lachy, fellow Canberran also had a 2007 Aurion that got totalled in the hailstorm. looking at buying a 2016 Presara so good to see your walk through. How does the boot space compare to 2007 for long trips packing

  • @mrxss1

    @mrxss1

    4 жыл бұрын

    Brooke Shannon Hey! You’re welcome! Thats a shame so many cars destroyed by the hail storm! But yeah the boot space is slightly bigger and the rear seats also fold down in this newer model which helps get larger and awkward objects in.

    Great review, I'm looking at a 2017 presara with the sportivo wheels. question: are the headlights and cruise control adaptive. thanks!

  • @mrxss1

    @mrxss1

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thank you! Very nice the last Aurions are the best ones. So the headlights are self levelling (up and down) but they removed the headlight turn left and right feature (AFS) Because it was overly complicated and not reliable in the previous models. Unfortunately the last Aurions miss out on the adaptive cruise control even though the same model of Australian Camrys had it. Hopefully this answers your questions. Cheers happy to help mate!

    It's part of Toyota's ACIS (Acoustic Control Induction System), works in conjunction with the airbox & obviously the intake manifold itself having longer & shorter runners. It's a Toyota spec 2GR-FE, Australia just designated a modest 200kw @ 6200rpm (272hp) 336nm @ 4700rpm The Lexus ES350 however had 204kw/277hp & 346nm, you don't notice the 4kw gain. The gains aren't as significant as they once were on the old MZ engine family. They had so many different tunes 😂😂😂 I only run OEM filters direct from the dealership, they're superior to anything ryco, etc Price difference is negligible for that assurance knowing you're using a high quality filter. I would strongly recommend Mobil 1 0w40 for all year round protection. If you haven't had an external transmission cooler fitted, get one fitted They drastically improve cooling efficiency & transmission fluid life over the service intervals. Regardless i drop mine every 45,000km & run full synthetic.

    Hey mate, I have a question. I've got the 2015 Spotivo pre-facelift. If I was to find a wrecked 2016 Presara like yours, would I be able to swap over the dash cluster, head unit and TCS switch without many hiccups? You can still turn it off in the 2015 but its like some sequence with the brake depressions etc. pain in the ass. Cheers.
