Hey Phil! Just updated my 2014 Sierra Denali with a wireless charging lid. I got a black a green and a pink wire with a yellow stripe. Could you tell me which wire is hot. I found out in auto wiring don't assume anything

Would this lid work for my 2015 Silverado? I bought an aftermarket wireless charger setup but it sucks.

Any chance you can do a video on putting a switch inside the back for the under rail lights? I hate being blinded by the cargo and mirror lights while I’m on my way to the back of the truck. That way I could just turn them on when I open my tailgate. LOVE the vids! You make this stuff look easy!

Mike Carlson Not that GM offers as a factory solution. I’ve seen some after market solutions out there.

I'm replacing my cargo lamp switch panel under the radio and installing one with the 4 aux upfitter switches. I need 4 pins with leads for the connector since this truck is not wired for them. I believe the connector is X1 pins 10,11,12 &13. Can you help?

I have a 2015 LT suburban can I just buy a lid that has the wireless charger in it? would it be plug and play would the plug be in there to hook it up or would I need to do wiring or need some special harness

Michael B - Yes. You have to remove the rear panel. There are 4 Torx bolts.

Now what if I never had wireless charging in my truck? I imagine I'll need to replace certain electronics in the console? I have a 2015 all terrain that I'd like to add wireless charging to. I bought a new center console lid as well for my 2016 GMC Sierra, but I’m having trouble figuring out how to remove the original lid. How do you remove the original lid?

I would love a video on how to install power heated LEATHER seats to a truck that doesn’t have leather seats but does have power heating seats.

DreamK - If the truck already has power heated cloth seats, you can install a power heated leather seats and it’ll be Plug and Play. The only caveat to this is if the new seat is Heated and Cooled... as those seats have Seat Memory. That would require a lot more work.

I just bought a 2019 Silverado 1500 LD/LT. It doesn't have the charger, but it does have the place for it. Can I buy the charger hardware or do I need to buy a whole new console lid?? Also, will it work for a Samsung S10 plus??

Hey Phil, I have a 15 yukon without the wireless charger and I have a GM 1352 1066 module that has a 4 wire harness (purple, black, green, brown) attached. Do you know where I could get a wiring diagram or pin out of these wires to see if there is a way to add this to a non charging setup? In the back of the console I have a plug with 3 wires (black, purple, green) but no brown. Can I make this work?

Yes - Violet is 12+ VDC, Black is Ground. Green is the charging bolt icon indicator (shows up on the radio). You won't be able to gain the indicator icon. The brown wire is a fault detect wire. Not used in the Trucks/SUVs. Green/Brown is omitted.

@@philgamboa2906 Not sure why Chevy does things this way. Would be far cheaper for them to make one wire harness for all models and only plug in what they want to equip for that trim level. That is how all my foreign made vehicles have done it. It it didn't come with fogs for example, the harnesses would be neatly taped up somewhere in the vicinity of the accessory they were meant to control...

Good comeup off that Denali man, dash, seats, and center console?!

Is there a way to add factor wireless charging and than plug that into cigarette lighter in my counsel. My new 2018 suburban didn’t come with wireless charging. Guess you can’t get much for $73,000.

Yes. I've actually designed a harness that T's off the rear 12V plug and provides a clean method of obtaining 12V power for the wireless charging lid. It's $45 shipped anywhere in the US. If interested, please email me at gamboaphil@gmail.com

Yes. They are a direct fit/bolt on. Just the lids though.

No sir. For the dash, it is easiest if you remove the steering wheel, gear shifter, turn signal lever. Remove radio and components. Upper and lower glove boxes. Remove both A-pillars moldings (or handles if you got them), dash vent/cowl. There will be a ton of 7mm screws. Remove the side vent pieces too. Hope this helps. There was a PDF from GM, I'd have to go find it. Someone on GM-Trucks.com posted it.

DreamK - There would be a couple scenarios with this. Scenario #1 - If a truck already came with full center console but without a charging lid. Scenario #2 - If the truck came with a jump seat, upgraded to a full center console. Variant to this is if the new console come with wireless charging or not, also, 15-17 wireless charging changes for 2018. So there are several different scenarios... I can see if I can cover them all in a video.

I got a 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 with bucket seats without the charging lead how can I upgrade it to the charging lead? Also, I want to upgrade my mirrors to tow mirrors to where they are power folding & turn signal because main are just power adjusting mirrors? What do I need for both? Great video

I actually wanna delete mine lol the placement sucks it’s too narrow for most new phones awkward spot to grab phone or look at gps while charging overall simply sucks I don’t need a cigarette lighter on mine either instead I’d rather both and install a wireless charge pad in place of cig lighter and it will work better as the piece of rubber under lighter is to dock your phone either way It’s no mystery why 2019+ charging position is changed to the front
