Awesome. Love it. Great vehicle added to the lineup. As nice as the Freelander/LR2 is a replacement is needed and this is the perfect vehicle for that class. Can't wait to see what the new full size Disco/LR4 replacement looks like in a years time.

I rarely hear Americans tell us the torque as if its not needed, its always about how much power it produces, without torque power doesn't mean shit.

If the title didn't say Land Rover discovery I would honestly think this were a redesigned Ford Explorer. But of course, the question is if some land rovers now look like fords or do some of the fords look like land rovers.

It probably will be at least another 5 years before Ford's impact on Land Rover designs (and vice versa) will be completely gone. Afterall, they shared design teams when Jaguar-Land Rover (JLR) was owned by Ford. JLR still uses Ford engines and some Ford components, so it will be a while before the influence is gone.

Im ok if this replaces the current LR2, what i'm not ok is that the LR4 is going to lose its signature boxy design. And I feel like for 38k theres a certain element in this car's interior that should not be in this Discovery Sport.

good design. interior looks cheap with alot of plastic a bit overpriced compared to the segment (Compact Non luxury SUVs ) and i think it is not in the Q5 X3 and XC Volvo segment. this should be compared to Ford edge, nissan murano, and Hyundai Santa Fe , as it is still a land rover discovery not a Range Rover It wouldnt be on my list

Disco sport is a very interesting car, I would rather road trip the XC60, I would rather own the SQ5+ but even knowing that I own a £50,000+ disco sport I’ve had it for 1.5 years and have only racked up 900 miles, whereas in 8 months my wife’s Hyundai Kona has done 4000 miles . so it’s to big for the tight village roads where I live, it’s not big enough for camping or holidays, it’s not off road capable enough to replace my disco 4 or 200 series land cruiser and it not as sporty as well even my wife’s Hyundai so it makes no sense to me with 3 kids, your money would be better spent on a nicer road car like the Volvo XC60 so what’s the lesson here, I need to stop remortgaging my house and stop buying cars and give LR there bloody Namibia orange XC60 wanna be back, or I could keep it and buy another car. Hmm

On every video about Land Rovers I am reading the same lame comments- they are not reliable, they spend a lot of time in the service... How did you make those observations? How many Land Rovera have you owned? We had Discovery 4 since it came out and there were no problems with the car, we have an Evoque since it came out and there are no problems, we are waiting for the Range Rover Sport Supercharged to be shipped in a few weeks because we had no problems with the 2 cars we already have! So, how did you make the observations that they are not reliable?

I owned a 2005 Land Rover LR3. It suffered a complete locking failure at 18 months old. At the same time this was happening, I was in conversation with several other people who were getting their LRs repaired at the dealership for similar electrical and mechanical issues. I think we know about their reliability, it's no secret.

"Something like” Jeep Grand Cherokee? Really? Discovery is only looks great from the outside. It CANNOT compete with Jeep. I was impressed with exterior of Discovery and thought this is going to be my next car and tried one. Great disappointment. Interior is cheap and boring, feels squished like in a tin can. 7 seats? It is a joke; the 3rd row is just a selling point. Gear shift is terrible, a lot of jerking. Bought Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude and happy with it.
