Are the 2015 explorers the same set up? I don’t have a tool and was going to change one for my friend. But I don’t want to get into it and realize I need that tool to do it lol. I couldn’t find anything on 2015 explorers inner tie rods on KZread

Same setup but one is a v6 and one is a 4 cylinder Let a shop do it because he needs ans alignment when you are done

When I got to the top of the tie rod the nut wouldn’t spin and the 10mm didn’t have enough room to grab. Had to cut it off.

Do you know torque specs for the outside tierod?

It's not very tired I think it's something like 30 foot pounds that nut that goes on to the spindle

Tried the monkey wrench on mine and its so fucking tight I cant even move it.
