My 2016 2.7.(frequent highway driven at 70mph), I found that Ford's idea of crank case ventilation under boost, is to vent crank case pressure through the LEFT valve cover, into the driver side turbo inlet tube. With time, the compressed air side of the turbo, down to & through intercooler, and into the intake, will be loaded with oil. I upgraded my intercooler, and after removing the OEM, about 8 ounces of oil poured out of it. Installed a left & right oil catch can, and IAT sensor before the throttle body is BONE dry, as it should be. No more oil straw for the engine.

I've seen the same issue but fixed with replacing the driver side turbo oil drain. I wonder how they determine which one is bad.

Wondering the same. Might try the driver side turbo line first since Ford has the TSB mentioning that and will try the part in this video if that doesn't work.

FYI I replace the same part because I was getting 4 00 miles per tank and start giving me about 300 miles per tank, when I replace the same part then take care of it, but at the same time I do have a smoking problem and it didn't got fixed after I replace that part showing on the video. I've been researching and they said it's the left oil feeding tube to the Turbo. ( driver side Turbo). I think the guy didn't give enough time to let the oil set that's why it didn't smoke... I ordered the oil fitting tube, I have not put it on yet but I will get back to you guys after I replace it..

There's a TSB ( technical service bulletin) at the dealership that covers that. The turbo oil feed, I forget the number but if you googled it will come up.

No if you’re only having the smoke issue. You don’t need this. This is if your truck shuts off randomly or struggles to start after filling it up

@@giancarlov3740 so youre saying its a turbocharger oil feed tube issue. I only get the white smoke during startup after it cold soaks, then it goes away and no issues after filling up wit gas.

@@giancarlov3740 white smoke, it’s pretty heavy for a few seconds when starting up despite hot temps outside. But after a while it clears up.

​@@giancarlov3740I agree. Had the same problem. From online threads, white smoke is coolant, seems it's a big problem. Check coolant reservoir.
