I'll be test driving this car today with intentions of purchasing if it drives as well as it looks. The interior is very nice, what do you think about the Malibu or the Impala?

Great! Glad to hear you're weighing your options. Between the two, I would say the Impala will be thr most comfortable long term. It's bigger, and while I haven't extensively tested an Impala yet, my experiences inside the new ones has left me really impressed. It's definitely one of the best cars GM makes now. Not to say this new Malibu isn't, but its styling doesn't register with me the same way the Impala's does. So if you want a car that may be a little more dynamic on the road and fuel efficient, take the Malibu. But for additional comfort and power, it's hard to go wrong with the Impala. Thanks I am looking for fuel efficiency but the Impala catches my eye just a little more. It's probably going to be a tough decision once I test drive them lol. How roomy would you say the Malibu is? On a scale of 1-10 in terms of sedans sizes you've tested or driven or been in.

+UnlimitedProduction1 Unlike the previous version, this new Malibu is very roomy, although I found the cloth seats to be somewhat firm. Leather seats will likely feel better. And I feel the engines in the Malibu balance efficiency and power well. In terms of the cars I've tested, I'd say the 2016 Malibu is at the top of the class in terms of comfort and quietness, and middle of the pack in terms of overall driving dynamics. I doubt you'll have many complaints picking a nicely equipped 1LT model.

+Adam Richardson/Adam's Autos You are so right about how quiet it is. It's a beautiful car, I test drove both the leather and cloth and both felt very comfortable with the test drive. The boss speakers in the leather one I drove (which I think is the 2LT) were great but the 1LT was still a beauty to drive. I was able to talk the dealer down to 24,000 for it. I haven't signed any papers yet. I'm currently at home thinking it over. I love it so much. The video didn't do the car justice that's how beautiful I think the car is.

I do strive to have my videos give a nice overview of the car and some features within roughly a 5 minute timeframe, but its always best when you can get a first person understanding yourself. I'd give the new Malibu a 7.5 or 8 in comparison overall to the other midsize cars. Glad you had a great test drive! Let me know what other questions you have and what you decide! Best wishes!

K Jenae Yes, it does! OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi is available with a subscription. The first 3 months are free I believe. Also note that the Malibu got a facelift for the 2019 model year. Congrats and let me know if you have more questions!

What kinds on additional packages were included on this model of the Malibu?

+Benito Rodriguez This particular Malibu had all of the standard options that come on the 1LT model, such as the 8-way power driver's seat, OnStar with 4G LTE Wi-Fi, XM Radio, and Chevy's MyLink touchscreen infotainment system, and it also had the panoramic sunroof as part of the Sun & Wheels Package, the Leather Package which gives you a power passenger seat, the 9-speaker Bose sound system, and leather heated front seats, and the Convenience Package, which you get when you pick the Leather Package. The Convenience Package has features in it such as rear seat USB charging ports, a household-style 120 volt outlet in the rear seat area, a wireless charging port for electronics, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a remote starter system. There's also a Driver Confidence Package available that has features like forward-collision warning, side-blind zone alert, lane-keeping assist, and other safety features on it, but I can't remember if this Malibu had it or not. That package will cost you $1,195 to add in addition to the other packages.
