I don’t know why anyone is calling this overpriced. It has a plethora of factory options and has been tastefully modded. If anyone actually appreciates the amount of quality and time he spent on this to bring it up to OG spec, you’d understand the value.

Same, or maybe a little if done tastefully, but never close to the $$$ invested in the mods. That’s what parting/returning to stock is for.

The OG spec is the best spec there is. Even The little things add a lot more flavor like the red buttons. If i had the money this is the car i would get because i could just enjoy it because it already has everything perfectly done to it. Amazing job on this one.

The car is gorgeous ! I think that you're right on with the asking price ! I know exactly where you are coming from, unfortunately daily drivers are going to take a beating from weather, road conditions and knuckleheads who can't keep their hands to themselves.....but I still pull my hair out everytime a new scratch appears on my wife's daily.

But here is the question, if I walk in and say I will take you up on the payment plan offer, when do I start?

Man, I know you knew before hand when “upgrading” to aftermarket parts or even buying new oem parts, you’re almost never going to get close to what you paid for that particular part... definitely not labor costs! But BEAUTIFUL F’n car, it for sure will have to be someone who has some extra doe and who was planning on specking it out as it is now. You do get what you pay for tho, and can tell you’re very meticulous with every detail. I’m very much the same way! With patience, the right buyer will come along at some point, especially with youtube marketing and subscribers! 👌 But Please keep us posted on how close you get to your asking or if you get your asking! And I agree, Alcantara steering wheel does so much... just did the same thing with my silver 750li F02 MSport package, and added the carbon fiber paddles!! basically same spec as your M5, minus the lowering. Next move is the carbon fiber front splitter, rear exhaust panel and Dinan axel back. Good stuff bro, Good luck with the sale!

May I ask a question? 🤓 About the Corvette: if you spend $125K on it [$75K car + $50K upgrades] and you intend to sell it for $75K] can you still deduct 35% over the $50K loss from your Income Tax Payable, if you sell it until Apr 15th? And does the Income Tax treatment differs if the car is traded as a OG company asset - for KZread production - or as a personal car ?

Car is an asset that is depreciated. Depreciation will be recaptured when the car is sold. All parts and labor have been expensed in the year they are purchased. If the car is sold for more, I’ll book the profit in that calendar year. All of my cars are assets of the S-Corp.

@@ObsessedGarage Thank you, Matt! Some people don't know that they can deduct the space they use in their homes if they work in SOHO mode. So I guess Matt could rent to OG [deduct] the washing bay area as it is used to produce OG video content and to park the OG cars [assets]. This rent/deduction could well pay for the leasing of a car.

Hey Matt, Would you consider selling the M3 and keep the M5 and complete the mods like you have mentioned and change the seats etc and make it super legit?

@@vongdong10 He bought the car for $57k and said he was "over $100k into it" so it easily has $40k+ in mods on it. However, considering he's a big youtube channel it's possible that a lot of those parts were free from sponsors so you're probably right on it being closer to $20k-$30k

Actually, vehicles like Tesla modifications add value. Although they aren't really modifications lol more like cosmetic upgrades they still add value. (Wireless charger, chrome delete, rim upgrade, lowered suspension, etc.

Don't think he wants to downgrade that much, probably just gonna daily the Raptor.

You can price your car whatever you think it’s worth and with all the mods is justifiable but 75k is steep. 2016’s M5 are from 45k-58k and a lot of them are barely used. Add 5-8 more K to 75 and you can get a 2018 F90 M5 with little to no miles. But good luck do hope you sell it 🙏🏽

@@ObsessedGarage I hoped that you would I was all for it... if you had the car for sale when I was ready to buy which was a few months ago, I would have paid $70k cash for it, that is what I would have offered. I love love the mods that you did to the car. I just bought the same year M5 a few months back in 6/2021, and I love it, it is an executive package and also a competition package, but the previous (1 owner), opted out of some of the items such as carbon ceramics and a few other things, but I have been told by my other enthusiasts that since I am not really going to track the car, that it will save me on a brake job later (I will be changing out the brakes soon and I already priced everything out and if I go with the OEM rotors and just upgrade the pads to ceramics from Hawk, it will be satisfying enough - I the price came out to $3000 for parts only). Anyway the only thing was I have a "grandpa spec" especially the interior as it is cream with the light wood interior (I really want to change this), but I have concentrated on the exterior and engine mods. It does have the exterior Moonstone Metallic option, which is my favorite silver color they offer, it changes color a bit in the sun. I literally have done everything that you have done to the car except I am waiting now to do the suspension... I am not sure if I want to go with the Dinan package, as I have been a huge Dinan fanatic since I have owned 3 Dinan cars before this; however, once Steve Dinan sold the company I think things have gotten worse. Anyway love the channel and love what you do. Follow my transformation of my M5 on my KZread channel KJDEION21... I just did the biggest mod yet which was the Alpha Performance down pipes catless, I have deleted the resonators, and I have a Fabspeed exhaust muffler delete arriving in the next week or 2... the car is SOOOOOOOO Loud and already crazy... not sure if I expected it to be this loud. Keep up the amazing work, you make me feel like I am not as crazy as my wife thinks I am for doing and loving the car the same as you. KJ

Seriously. He talks about wanting an unmodified car, and buying this one for 57k. He's now the third owner of a 2016 model, and modifications made to the car lessen that value, because nobody else wants to buy a modified car either.

You might want to listen. I said I wanted an unmodified one because there is a low probability someone would do it to this level. Plus I make videos modifying cars. It would be different if I didn’t. Other option, I return the car to stock, sell it for $60,000, and sell the parts for $15,000.

It might very well be the CLEANEST M5 2016 on the market but @at the end of the day it is not a rare car that something like this will matter. Maybe if this was your GT3RS this would make sense. This is a mass produced old gen M car. In a few years it will be worth 20-30k.... GLWS

They’re fantastic. Had them on my Z/28 and couldn’t stand the thought of a $7k brake job. Lots of guys swap to steel for that reason. You end up selling this one?? Just picked up a manual comp.

$3450!!!! for little piece of exhaust! Those downpipes are a prime exp, as to why is doesn't make any sense modifying BMW M cars. The price of everything is insane on everything, it is up there in excotic's category. The worst part is for exp the exhaust is no higher quality then something that is high-end for domestics or in many cases Japanese. But the price is like 3-4x more, for no reason other then just because they think the gain charge that much the type of person that owners a German performance car. It is crazy! And I sadly think Matt will lose way more then 20K on the sale

That first one is a lemon...Good condition F90 M5s are 80-90k atm. You may be able to find one in the 70s with higher miles but definitely not for 65k 😂

Way too cheap at $75k. We know Matt is obsessive. The car was clean from the get and now has mod done to perfection. You can buy a cheap one for $50k and spend $20k for the same mods and have to go through the trouble finding shops or DIY. not worth the time. A lot easier to just buy this one for $75k knowing this guy made sure it was all on point. Just wish it was white.
