I would like to see before and after Dyno test results after the installation.
What’s some of the background on why you don’t need to return the truck after adding this new intake? I’m getting mixed info from different sources on whether you need to tune it or not

So, with most modern vehicles the mass airflow sensor detects how much air is getting into the engine to be able to match how much fuel is needed, think of the difference between a hot summer day and a cold winter day, because most modern vehicles have a stock cold air intake, cold air is denser and contains more oxygen. So more fuel is used to match the oxygen intake. Or think of areas in higher altitudes, the people there don’t really need to tune their vehicles. All of that is just that the vehicle technically lightly tunes itself. Though people Tune their vehicles because the stock tune on the ECU is kinda wonky with the whole searching gears and the throttle lag. So no you don’t necessarily have to tune your Tacoma with the new intake. But tuning it in general is not a bad idea, even without the cold air intake. You’ll see a difference in daily driving with a tune with or without a cold air intake. And if you’re wondering about the comment on that most modern vehicles have a stock cold air intake, why buy an aftermarket, it’s because you’re buying it for the increased airflow, build quality, and to be real here, the sound and look. You’re not looking at big increases in HP with an after market TBH. But at 274 HP, every little bit counts
How about a whole new engine for the gutless 3.5 V6.
