Ok people, I need advice. I've heard that 2016 tacomas have some weird transmission bugs and etc, anyways I'm over here trying to decide between a 2015 Tacoma or a 2016, with the trd off road packages. I know the 2015 is proven and that 4.0 v6 is just practically bulletproof, and the 2016 is all new which makes me nervous. What do you guys think?

Please stop idling the engine so long...it's ridiculous. All dealerships do this for some reason. It can't be great for an engine that (probably) isn't broken in yet...not to mention its just a waste of gas and totally unnecessary. Would you want to buy a new truck that someone idled for hours before the engine was broken in?

David G Ok David.... here are some reason's why I left the engine running for 8 minutes before I got in the truck. 1. To use the AC system to cool off the interior 2. To use the AC system to keep the interior cool. 3. To allow people to hear the truck run from the outside and inside. 4. To circulate oil and coolant through the engine that sits dormant for weeks/months while sitting on the dealership lot. 5.To warm the engine to normal operating temperatures in order to evaporate any condensation accumulated in the oil/inside the engine block. 6. To flush out the old gas in the injector system that has been sitting for weeks/months 7. It's not a big deal to use 50 cents worth of gas to accomplish the above.
