I’ve been getting back into it. Haven’t skated seriously in 10 years or more... so glad I’m getting back into it.. but your ankles will not be prepared for the sudden change.. highly recommend stretching from head to toe before you skate. I’m 33 and getting back my old tricks and even learned a couple new ones.. skate or die ppl

It’s nice seeing Rob Dyrdek talking about the event. A lot of people want to call him a sellout but the man is a straight up genius. Where would skateboarding be without him? No where near as popular and globalized. Always been a huge inspiration to me growing up 10 mins from Kettering.
“Congrats, Kevin! Take us thru that frontside kickflip!” “Well, I just wanna thank everyone here. See you next year.” 🤣😭
What i've never really thought of, is how fantastic the camera live eiditing is! That is some serious work, and takes a crazy multitasking skill to archieve. Love street league!!

I was thinking that. This man had a vision for skateboarding and he made it real, That’s like a 10 year project to change the world, The sheer amount of peoples lives this has impacted In terms of bringing skating to more people, and making skateboarding a serious and legit pro sport with serious economic backers is insane. What an impact this has had on the world, It’s actually fucking impressive

59:00 Kelvin Hoefler WIN WITH THIS TRICK
Quebrou demais 👏🙌
La ultima puntuación de nyja 8.5 con mano en el piso?? Aun me lo sigo preguntando "¿por que esa calificación?"
This was the last classic street league before it got way mainstream and international with the crazy skaters like yuto, sora etc this gave me goosebumps classic nyjah vs kelvin this was good
If it was nyja that did that kick flip back nose blunt it would have been a 9.3
I hope Kelvin wins another super crown again, or gold in the Olympics
🇧🇷
y love the still of Nyjah
I like hearing Geoff he knows his stuff
they always score nyja too high for mediocre tricks. Sure his is very good, but he gets scores that are higher than someone else would get for the same trick.

i think the difference is often times, that nijah puts 1-2 tricks more in a run, not necessarily harder tricks, but more - and if the rest is the same > you get a higher score - seems fair though

Did they cut out Paul's last attempt? Or did he not go? Kind of sad to see how unlucky he got with those switch 360 flips which he usually does perfectly.

I was wondering the same thing. And the same for Cody’s last attempt or two. Honestly, my guess is that since this is originally aired live on TV, and they only have a certain slot of time before the next thing Fox was airing, if they thought they were short for time, the first thing they do is pull the guys that don’t even have a shot at podium to make sure they have time to fit it all in. I also noticed they didn’t air the trophy ceremony, when they came back from commercial Kelvin was just holding his trophy. So that’s my guess!
I loved seeing Kelvin rip that hard in best trick section. He got robbed with that crazy backside kickflip to f...ing noseblunt with that 8.9. I get it, that the first trick always sets the baseline and will be somehow lower than tricks further down, ...but there must be exceptions...to noseblunt!
Man nyajai is the undisputed goat their will never be another

In hindsight Shane’s question mark primitive board is so heinous ahaha
Why was everyone booing at 15:08?
Rob dyrdek doesn’t get the credit he deserves for setting this SLs contest from back in the day, and now finally an Olympic sport. Too bad it couldn’t have been done years ago befor yuto and the Japan skaters took all the medals, nyjah should’ve had tons of Olympic medals
Big trophy,I wonder what it weighs
57:15 Should've been at least a 9.0 maybe higher
Cody McEntire looks like a side character from the top-down era of GTA. 🤣
47:08 pure swag 😩🤤😵💫
why doesnt luan compete anymore?
34:19 Dyrdek's literally the reason skating is in the olympics lol
O nyjah Continua o mesmo, Não sorri, fico puto quando perde kkkkkkk

The number of time announcer said chaz ortiz the local boy.
Really hate the Boo’s when Nyjah starts his run, like I get it, I’m a Nyjah fan and even I’m tired of him winning, but the man is a beast a doesn’t deserve the hate, he’s so god damn consistent
P. Rod did not pioneer switch skating like Geoff claims. IT WAS BURNQUEST
Big homie nyjah took it like a man though
Scoring is all over the place too many times. Judges need better methodologies. This is one of many examples : Huston (42:25) - Fakie Half-Cab Bs Smith 180 out (or to fakie)... Score 8.8 Hoefler (49:56) - Fakie 270 Bs Tail Slide To Fakie... Score 9.3 There's a 0.5 pts difference for what is essentially the same trick. Although, if you do skate, you know that Bs Smith tend to be a bit more difficult than a Bs Tail Slide. So by this reasoning, Huston should have scored the same or higher for his trick. If looking for judges, I'm available for SLS 2021 :)
The judges fucked Luan so bad, I seriously can’t fucking stand how they show so much favoritism towards Nyjah, it shows so much in every single SLS event.
What did Nyjah do to recieve a bunch of boos from crowd?

Stems back to a contest shortly before this when P-Rod tried a FS bluntslide, and bailed. Then Nyjah did a FS bluntside, landed it, and got scored 8-something. Then P-Rod did a FS bluntslide, landed it, and was awarded a score of 0.00 as a result. The crowd booed Nyjah's next attempt because (presumably) they felt Nyjah had used underhanded methods (taking advantage of fine print in the rules) to set P-Rod up for a wasted attempt.
Are they booing Nyjah? wtf for???

They use to score runs so much better.....
Ortiz getting snubbed AGAIN, even in his own hometown. So good, shame Kerry Hart and his goo squad of judges wasted his career
no offense to cody but i've only seen the same trick every time it was his turn :P
LMAO They interview the runner up but not the winner?
Anyone else think Rob Dyrdek looks like a young George W Bush?
Anyone else feel like Huston's are inflated? Everything he does they treat like gold
I have this in true skate Xd
As much as I love Kelvin I think if repetitiveness was a judging factor he would have gotten lower scores as he continued "cabbing" into the rail. And the frontside flip was slightly over scored. 2015 was a great year anyways, Luan Oliveira really shined.
damn, listening to the crowd boo Nyjah on his run up to that fakie noseblunt made me mad. It's almost like they hate good skateboarding.
