Thanks for the review. I’m picking up my Diablo this weekend. You mentioned torque converter at the end of the video, did you ever replace that? If so, what did you go with? I’m looking to finally get rid of the shudder at highway speeds. I have 2015 5.3L as well. Thanks.

Replaced the torque converter with a circle d 3200rpm 278mm single disk converter

First the DOD delete! Now I could get rid of that CEL too! Was gonna do the oxygen sensor spacer. Damn this is the only thing to buy! Highly recommend it as I’ll be getting one within the week! 2014 Silverado Zone 6.5, on 35’s, TSP headers w/hiflow cats, super 44 flowmaster. Sadly no CAI yet...:/

I have a 6.2 tahoe 10 speed, what all do I need to do to get more hp, torque and to turn off the governor?

Are you able to bump up the rpm’s at idle to get rid of that rough idle? GM has it set so low

Just ordered one for my 2014 Chevy Silverado LTZ crew 4x4 (5.3L). I am looking for a bit more power/torque, turn off that dam v4 mode, adjust for slightly larger tires, and wonky economy stock shifting. Hopefully, this gadget does the trick. No exhaust or air intake mods on my truck. Thanks for your video on this unit.

James Henry the shop I use is Spike performance and tuning and they are in Pasadena just outside of Houston. There’s also KHP performance and Elvis custom tuning. As for transmissions the only shop I really know of is A-1 discount transmission also in Pasadena. Spike sells built trannys but not sure if they will work on them. Can’t hurt to ask they are always good with my questions.

I'm just wondering whats the difference with the platinium model for gm that allowes custom tune. All i basicly want is the basic tune. im really crossing my fingers and im trying to call the seller.

FERNYLRGOON just depends really. the diablo is good for first time tuning and pre loaded tunes but I prefer street tunes from a shop

When you want to bring it all back to stock tune....do u hit the RESTORE button? Or is there another way?

Justin Miller when you first connect it it will copy the stock tune and save it so if you want to go back to stock simply install the stock tune back into the CPU.

Do you have to use mid grade or premium fuel with these tunes?

Jesse Foster honestly it depends on the tuner/ tune type. When I had my Diablo Intune I3 I could do an 87 or 93 tune. Since I’m cammed and running headers and full exhaust I run only 93 but am looking into an E85 conversion

is there and option to get rid of the cel from no cats i just ordered my i3 for my 2015 silverado with long tubes no cats

robert valencia it will clear the codes but won’t delete them completely, so basically the cel will come back on every time you turn the truck on and off. I had to get a custom tune at a performance shop to permanently get rid of the cel.

Just put the Diablo tune on my 2016 Silverado Crew Cab , does the V4 still show up on your dash mine does but as soon as you touch the gas it turns to V8

I don’t have my truck tuned with the diablo anymore but my truck always shows V8. If you deleted the V4 mode it shouldn’t show up.

is it just that, after you tuned the car it wont require for you to plug it into the obd again?

Once you load a programmed tune or do your own it’ll be set and you won’t have to use the tuner again unless you want to change the tune.

One thing to keep in mind, if you sell your vehicle make sure you restore it back to stock otherwise you have to buy another license for your new vehicle.

Cade Bonin yes this was the platinum one. It’s not just for racing. You can make changes to the computer and transmission

you have to do the advanced tune and from there go to the modify paramiters/ecm and it should be at the very bottom

King B it might be because of the year, I think the tunes and things you can do with it are different for every year and model

the newer models use a drive by wire sort of system. Can't remember what they actually call it. I don't think your 07 has it

bogey19018 Yes!! With this tuner it has ECM and TCM options. The TCM is the transmission control module and you can adjust shift points and firmness of shifts.

What about torque managment

the preloaded tunes add some torque but there is no real way on the tuner to manage torque

Scott Kucinski yes!!!! It’s terrible especially with exhaust mods!!! Also a lot of people having lifter failures from it. If I wanted to save gas I wouldn’t buy an LS motor truck.
