After having had the 2008 Ford Mondeo 2.0, I now own this car (sedan) since two weeks with the 19'' wheels. I find it very comfortable and not noisy at all! In fact, it is very quiet. I've driven it 160 km/h in Germany and it made me wonder where all the fuss about noise comes from. This Mazda feels very solid and smooth and I can say that I am a very very happy owner.

I bought the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T instead. I was choosing between the 2015 Mazda 6, 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.0T and 2015 Camry but the technology package was superior on the 2015 Sonata. Also the fact that Hyundai greatly improved their handling on the newer Hyundai's was also one of the main deciding factors.

StealthTechz Korea is the most technologically advanced country in the world. It's no surprise that the highest quality cars are made in Korea. Go check out he 2015 JD Power Initial Vehicle Quality study. Hyundai and KIA are the highest quality and most reliable car brands in the auto industry.

+David Bennett again, initial quality and reliability are two completely different things. Go to the JD Power dependability study, the better indicator of reliability, and they are below industry average and below all of the Japanese manufacturers. They have come a long way and build some very nice cars, but they are not quite there yet.

+Shirazi so that is why Kia/Hyundai are below all of the Japanese manufacturers in the 2015 JD Powers dependability study then? Or BMW barely making the industry average and below all Japanese manufacturers other than Subaru with VW even worse again? Or Audi only being one place ahead of Mazda but below even Ram? I also see 3 Japanese brands in the top 5 with all but one brand, Subaru, above the industry average. That is hardly what you call falling behind! Don't get me wrong, Hyundai/Kia make some very nice cars with very good tech/build quality, but they aren't quite there yet in the reliability (long term ownership) stakes. Give them time though and they will be up the pointy end in that respect too, they are already there in most other areas. Good luck to them!

***** it is because us in order to make everything different from rest of the world decided to give decision how to mark some products by time to lawyers and politicians... so what is made in real time in rest of the world in 2015, in us is for some reason marked with 2016....and people are lazy to think with their own head so in the end lawyers and politicians are deciding what is reality! really sad story...

Mazda 6 needed an AWD instead of a mudane FWD and it's a notchback sedan instead of slope liftback; turbo-diesel with intercooler need to go better with bio-diesel with cheaper and cleaner than fossil-diesel to make the turbo diesel Mazda 6 faster.

What equals 138 kw ?????I don't know anyone, who knows what that is in hp, and I think it is a fucking arrogance, that the nerds try to force through a new specification only few people understand· That is a BIG LACK OF INFORMATION !!!

  • @robertbabic80

hansen4 this is a elementary school knowledge... kW x 1,36 = hp 138 x 1,36 = 187 hp ~190 hp, what do u think by : "...force through a new specification..."? kW is a universal measuring unit for power known and used for centuries. btw i was pretty bad in school with only d from physics and you demonstrated big lack of elementary school knowledge. have a good day

Mighty Vicious In all years back to the 60's the power of motorcars has always been reported in hp, and torque in Nm. That goes for test reports in magazines, newspapers and brochures. I just looked in my SAABbrochures from 1969-1974, never a word like kW. Never !! It's only in the last app. 3-5 years that german magazines like Autobild, Autonews, Autozeitung and Auto-Motor-und-Sport have used Kw for the motor power but lately I have seen both kW and Ps (hp) in those magazines. Going from kW to hp is certainly not common school knowledge. We learned about it, but most people have forgotten the formula, and always used hp. Look at the videos here on YT. They use Hp always, because that's what people understand. KW is for engineers and mechanics and special interested people. You were pretty bad in physics ? OK, but that goes for grammar too, sorry. You have a good day too. By the way, I'm danish, not english, hence the language above. Take care !!!

hansen4 hi there hansen! Then it seams that different countries use different units for presentation. I remember since 80's kW and hp. kW is official unit for power. Nothing else. Nm is official unit for torque (poundfeet is not). I understand ps or hp just as tool to bring all this phsycs closer to people. Hp is just supplementary unit to watt (kilo watt). Do you think Saab will rise again? Have a nice day!

  • @hansen4

Robert Babic Hi again, No sadly I don't think that Saab (Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget) will rise again. Here in Denmark, neighbours to Sweden, we hear a lot about about Volvo, but nothing about SAAB's car devision. I agree with your conclusion above, but when it comes to kW, I am not sure it will push out hp, maybe they will live side by side among ordinary people. I stick to hp, the brochures use both, apparently as a consequence of the success for all the turbo diesel engines over the last 10 -15 years. Take care !!!

This is the worst Mazda 6 that Mazda has made so far. The styling is too retro and a step backward from the 2012 design. And the handling feels very numb and vague. Sales have been abysmally low in the US. I really hope Mazda changes their design next year. I think the 2015 Hyundai Sonata is a much better choice with a more updated and modern design. The 2015 Volkswagen Passat is more for those who want a more mature look. The Mazda 6 looks like something that an old immature person would drive in. NOT the kind of impression that most people want.

UltimateDriver I agree. The 2015 JD Power Vehicle Quality Study (the world's largest vehicle quality study) confirms that Mazda cars are unreliable. Mazda was placed at an abysmal 25th out of the 34 brands included in this study.

テクノロジー Mazda is the most unreliable Asian car maker. Actually Subaru is the worst according to the JD Power Vehicle Initial Quality study but Mazda has a particularly poor reputation for transmission problems.

  • @devilsadvocate2548

+David Bennett you might need check your JD power survey again. In the 2015 initial quality survey (which is more quality control/build quality than reliability) Mazda are above Scion, Acura, Mitsubishi as well as Subaru and they are all Japanese manufacturers are they not? Having said that they are still below industry average. If you use the dependability study, which is more indicative of reliability than the initial quality survey, the Mazda is above industry average and above Subaru AND Infinity as well as the Korean brands. They also tied with Mistsubishi so are no worse than them. The only Euro brands that rated above them are Audi, Mercedes and Porsche. Ever since they stopped making Mazdas in the US (in Ford factories with Ford around 9 spots below Mazda in the survey) their problems have dropped by a lot. I know what that tells me where a lot of Mazda's problems were from!!! Plus transmission problems? I guess you haven't spoken to/don't know anyone with a ZF 6 speed auto or a VW/Ford DSG! Our Family has owned Mazdas in one form or another in for around 40 years and whilst not perfect (NO car is) they have been one of the most reliable brands we have owned and not far behind the Toyotas we've had. They have been a lot more reliable in our experience than anything from GM, Mitsubishi, BMW and Ford we've owned over the years.
