Thank you for making this video. The screen on my 2014 silverado started to appear like the screen had been smashed. It showed a bunch of lines and blocks of different colors, you couldn't see anything on the screen but the Bluetooth worked and the radio. I did what you did. Just unplugged them and plugged them back in. Worked perfectly!

This might not help everyone but this is what works for me EVERYTIME. It might not work for you but it's worth a try and it's free. I had the same problem with my 2018 Tahoe. Sometimes the touch screen worked fine then sometimes it would act like you described and worse. This is what I did to "solve" or at least stop it from happening. I have a touch button ignition. What I do is when I first enter the vehicle I wait for the logo that shows on the touch screen to disappear then push the ignition button to "On" without touching the brake pedal. This allows the vehicle to turn on without starting the vehicle. Then I once again wait for the logo that shows on the touch screen to disappear and then I simply start my vehicle. My touch screen acts "normal" again. It's worked for me every time and it has allowed me to cancel my new $850 (plus $300 to install it) touch screen that I ordered from the dealership. It might not be everyone's solution. I hope this helps anyone and everyone who has had issues with these touch screens that I believe should have been recalled.

took my 2017 gmc sierra to dealer same issue i unplugged blue cable and nadda but i did not unplug the rest. maybe a disconnect from battery will trigger reboot? Who knows because now im waiting months for new intellilink.. any sugestions?

I have a message on the screen that says “No Vin” after a battery disconnect. I wonder did this Would this work if I disconnect then reconnect the blue plug? I’m Trying to get the truck to recognize the radio again.

I check all that n I install new antenna n radio display still nothing. GM said they can't connect wit me also no onstar..n yes I check the fuse .anybody have any ideal thanks ....

It's a Damm shame got a2017 GMC the radio goes staiton to station all the time I'm driving it paid a he'll of a lot of money for it, but GM will not do a recall on it.

Are there any taps on the connector when you pull them?

There is some tabs on the "top side" of each connector. Nothing crazy to pull the connectors out. Just pinch the tab with your fingers and the plug comes right out

I did this and it still doesn't work twice.

Yes, it is still working great.

This didn't work for me. I unplugged and reconnected each plug. And I checked the fuse. Radio still doesn't work.

That’s too bad. The fix I posted was primarily for the LCD display which is not just for the radio. Good luck.

Hello! Fortunately, the issue has never happened again. Just FYI, my truck has 62K miles on it.

Tried unpluging the blue connector this but did not seem to work. Is there any other option.

Hello. There should be a tab on the side of the connector. Just press the tab and the connector should release.

could you have actually spoken in to the cel phone mic at some point? or used a blue tooth so we can actually hear what y7ou are saying?

Are you hard of hearing or just a smart-ass? The audio is very clear and loud. Turn up the volume and/or clean out your ears. Merry Christmas!
