    Thank you for not removing the oil cap before removing the engine cover. So many other videos show the person removing it, and it’s absolutely unnecessary and can let debris get into the oil.

    Great video!! Quick question - would you recommend changing the ignition coils at the same time even if there are no symptoms of them going bad? With engines that utilize plugs and wires, typically its recommended to change both at the same time, but since the coils are encased in the engine I'm thinking there's no need to replace them if all is functioning property. Thoughts?

    Hi. The hose connected to the right side of that metal tube in front of the engine broke off on my 200. It leads to the right side of the engine to a part right to the left below the throttle. Can you tell me what it’s called and what I need to replace it? I can’t find info anywhere. To be clear, there’s a hose that comes from overflow, then it transitions to that metal tune in front of the engine, which theme transitions to another black hose which is what broke at the end of hose

    If you have the torque spec and a torque wrench it’s alway good to use the proper torque. I don’t use torque specs for spark plugs because I’ve done many of them and have a “feel” for when they’re properly seated.

  • @JoesCarSmartsNY

    @JoesCarSmartsNY

    3 жыл бұрын

    Amit Sharma I’m not sure exactly what you’re saying here. It sounds like you tried to start it with the remote but it didn’t start, then when you tried to start it yourself it took 3 seconds to start. If it was my car I’d try using a fuel injection cleaning additive if you haven’t done that in a while. You’re a little early for spark plugs to be bad enough to cause an engine runnability problem. More likely that you need a fuel system cleaner. Something like Seafoam or a Lucas brand fuel treatment would be good options.

I have a engine light on scanned OBD error code P0304 Swapped spark plug, coil fuel injector Still have the same code P0304 I then Went for compression test. • @JoesCarSmartsNY

    @JoesCarSmartsNY

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@AmitSharma-gf4gz That is not good. The low compression is in the same cylinder that the code indicates the misfire. You probably either need an engine rebuild or a replacement engine. If you decide you have them do it you can get a good used engine from a quality parts recycler. The labor will obviously be pretty high for a big job like that but you could save some money on the engine itself. That’s awful. Good luck. Hope it goes good.

  • @JoesCarSmartsNY

    @JoesCarSmartsNY

    2 жыл бұрын

    P0300 is engine misfiring, P0302 is cylinder 2 misfiring. If you’re around 100,000 miles start with new spark plugs. Use only the exact same ones in this video because they are the original part number. If misfires persist you might be needing ignition coils. The car in this video is over 160k miles now on original coils, but that doesn’t mean yours might not be bad. If you’re still misfiring, try swapping cylinder 2 and 4 coils and see if the misfire moves to cylinder 4. If it moves, that’s a bad coil. If it stays at 2 it’s possible you’re dealing with a wiring or injector issue. A cam sensor is also a possible culprit at that point.
