Rented a 2015 Tahoe and drove from the mountains of Colorado through the National Parks of Utah, the desert of Nevada, all the way west to San Francisco. Did a whole bunch of none-pavement roads like the valley of the Gods - it seemed like the Tahoe never got pushed to its limits. It's a great vehicle and was so much fun to drive.

I watch this episode over and over again. Why aren't there more off-road videos of Tahoe/Yukons?? Just picked up a Tahoe 4x4. Can't wait to get it dirty. Thanks for the vid!

Full disclosure - these are MUCH harder and more time consuming to shoot. That's the reason why you don't see as many of these types of films on any car show. Also, they don't do as many views as say a fancy new Porsche on a race track - which believe it or not, is easier and less time consuming to shoot. Which also translates to cost. I just drove my 2016 Tahoe Z71 on the beach in the Outer Banks of NC. This SUV conquered everything thrown at it. It went up soft sand hills effortlessly.

2020 Tahoe - use it for anything, weekend rides, road trips to the Appalachians, the most comfortable ride ever, great through snow, it is like riding a plane wherever we go, we love it ! Looked at the Cayene and nah, it does not cut it

We have a 1999 gmc suburban with 250,000 miles and are expecting four more years out of it. It is equoped with four wheel drive and we have taken it out 5 times. All at the river bottom in phoenix, az with fine grade sand. We have had it for 11 years and she still runs strong. Thats why we are chevy only owners.

We recently bought a 2015 Tahoe LTZ with all the bells and whistles, and it's a hell of an suv, comfortable, plenty of room for our family, all the power outlets you'd ever need for road trips and things, heated front and rear seats, and it's not a sports car by any means, but it definitely has passing power when you need it, it's a great family vehicle for more active people who maybe need to pull a camper trailer or boat trailer on the weekends and still want more room than a pickup truck can provide.

I drive a 2000 Lexus LX, it's a body on frame, basically a luxury Toyota Land Cruiser. It's designed more for off road than on road. I take it on off road trips to national parks and trails about 2 - 3 times a month. During the summers, we go on weekend camping trips about 4 days long, pack everything in it.

I might add, along with the HP & trq correction on the new 5.3l, the Tahoe is usually used as a family, long road trip, type vehicle. I had one, 2008 5.3l, and the primary use was just that; which was an extremely pleasurable, comfortable vehicle for the entire family with gear, on those long trips. The body-on-frame durability and torque of a truck surpasses minivans in a lot of cases. So there is a niche for such vehicles and condemnatory comments are really unnecessary. Thanks...

I love my 02 Tahoe Lt 4x4, it's my second one, my first was a 97 Lt 4x4. They are great vehicles, very safe, they are universal, very spacious, it's just me and my wife and our 5 year old and it suits us just perfect. I can tow a car trailer, pull boats, haul 9 people, play in the mud and snow, has plenty of power and they are very easy to work on, the LS platform is an awesome platform. Thank you GM!

We use both our Denali XL and our Suburban to travel; quite extensively. We left town with 5,100 miles on the Denali, on a three month vacation, and returned with 19,871 on it. The main benefit of the full size SUV is comfort, cargo capacity and power. Loaded with a ton of luggage and a family of six (two people per seating row), it's hard to beat that kind of roominess and performance.

I have a 2010 Lincoln Navigator L and I almost never take it off road but I do go onto the occasional dirt or rock path but not actually off-roading. Last year my town in Tipton Flooded and or driveway was almost 2 feet deep in water and I drove the Navigator right thru it no problem and that's why I LOVE it!

07 yukon xl, tows and goes on trips cross country. Even though it's a 2wd it's held its own in the mud. Rides amazing and halls tons of stuff.

08 Suburban. Tow a boat to the river, tow the race car to the track on weekends, drive kids to school, family vacations, shooting trips which includes off roads to get to a nice spot in the mountain with friends. You name it. I have done it. 120,000 miles of fun. Wouldnt drive anything else.

My '04 Yukon XL is used off-road, mostly washed out dirt roads and light rock crawling, but it has been mudding and on some more severe terrain. It also tows a camper, a rooftop tent, and a number of other things. It used to be used for all kinds of skiing trips through deep snow(sometimes blasting through over 2 feet of snow), but hasn't been tortured as much since I moved to AR. Now it's mostly just a very muddy parking lot(tons of fun to slide around in) and towing light trailers and the camper. You could say I am taking it easy on it after its 10th birthday. Even with how much it's been tortured it still only has a few spots of rust visible through the paint(rear wheel wells) and no holes, 121,000 miles, some dents, and some scrapes. It ate a transmission at 90,000 and a transfer case motor at 100,000, other than that it's needed no major items. Next thing I'm going to have to do is the diff cover(almost rusted through) and all of the suspension bushings and body mounts. They're dry-rotted and squeaky and the rig does not feel like it used to. Might do a slight lift while I'm at it, but probably will stay stock.

First Generation of Suburban was 1933, with the rename to "Carryall Suburban" in 1935. So definitely more than 50 years, more like 75+

We love our 2011 z71 Suburban a family of 6 ages 1,3,7, & 9 plus 2 German Shepard's. Anything smaller and we wouldn't fit. We take ours off road quite a bit we are heading to the Desert Run in Johnson Valley next month. We don't get too crazy but we do have a lot of fun! We have never been stuck and it has never let us down (knock on wood) I have however pulled more than a few jeeps out of the mud in Azusa lol not that there's anything wrong with it. We love to watch then rescue! Be safe and keep on trucking!!!

In 2005 I bought a new GMC Yukon because 'Merica and I'm still driving it today, 160k later because 'Merica. I chose the Yukon for the 8 person seating, towing capacity, and preference of a higher ride height. I rarely carry more than one other person and tow a trailer maybe once every couple months, but I believe the pros outweigh the cons. I I average about 15.5mpg combined. 'Merica.

2004 Yukon XL Denali. It turned into my commuter car for now, but I got it for pulling a trailer, hauling water and construction supplies to my property, and carrying 8 passengers (even though it's just me and my daughter haha). We just went off road this weekend to some rural land I own in southern Oregon. I found this video while looking up lift kits and heavy duty shocks and struts for the Yukon.

no national forest roads, but the pot-holes after each winter on the bqe make the Tahoe a very reasonable purchase

2 Wheel drive 2015 LTZ Tahoe, we take it to the lake which is a 6 hour drive ending through the Table Rock Lake Mo. hills multiple times in the summer we do not really off road it since its 2 wheel but its a great trip car and kid hauler. The Tahoe actually does good in snow and gravel though I've got it stuck multiple times in the snow i manage to get myself out with enough time. Buy one of these if you want room and comfort. Really good power in these things. The 5.3 is a really good motor.

Duck hunting in the mud, elk hunting in the mud & snow, Moab, trips to Ski Cabin in Tahoe, deer hunting in the Cascades. These are just a handful of the places I've taken mine.

My Dad owned a previous gen tahoe and mostly took it offroading and ling trips everyday almost! And the car was supreme awesomness and just took my heart, its a pure awesome car and later on we sold it to get the escalade previous gen and still mostly doing offroading and long trips and compared to tahoe escalade had some flaws like the offroad gear switch was missing and 22's really didnt work well but still non the less the engine was better than tahoe's and it performed very well

You make an INCREDIBLY good point . . . There is a portion we filmed but didn't make the final cut: Cadillac freely admits that only about 10% of their Escalade buyers take the trucks off road where GMC and Chevrolet claim their off road mix is about 30% - hence some of those differences - which still stand on this latest generation.

I work as a telecom engineer in and around the Sacramento mountains in NM. I love the Tahoe! I own a k1500 Suburban and drive a Expedition for a work vehicle. Both vehicles are fine in the back country although the Expedition has too many bell and whistles for my liking. The Suburban is a much better ride. I get to use a Tahoe on occasion a and in an all around off road situation - it is the best!

The power is actually 355 HP and 383 Torque with that 5.3L V8.

I have a 99 gmc 4x4 yukon. Use it for long distance travel with the family. And I love taking it up to chino hills. Little bit of off road up there with the family.

"lowly chevy" hardly, "mighty porsche and infinity"... well, i don't know about that, but the former is a volkswagen vehicle (technically it is almost identical the the VW toareg) and the latter is a nissan. you Americans sometimes are too tough on your own vehicles, and sugarcoat overpriced image bombers (german cars) way too much. maybe it is that "the grass is greener" effect. but as a german, i can tell you, there is nothing from germany, that this Tahoe, much less the GMC or Cadillac Escalade have to worry about. in fact, driving one of those over here in germany, would get you attention, like no VW vehicle ever could.

Excellent video M, I think you are the first one who actually properly tested the new Tahoe ... Motortrend & Jalopnik reviews were the worst ... Thank you M! as for your question, we had a BOF 2003 Ford Explorer ... we only used it in the city ... mostly for hauling people around (we are a family of 6 ... the 3rd row seat is a blessing) ... but my father once used it to help my uncle & his family during a severe raining season ... my uncle's Hyundai Tosan (?) got drifted with the water & they ended up being stuck in the wrong side of a hill (you wanna be up top) ... The Ford went in & out like a boss without a single issue ... I don't remember the exact water level, but the rims were submerged under water. I live in Jeddah & its a destination for lots of people (wither for Summer vacation or visiting Makkah) & The full size SUVs are the only way to go for large families in the region ... They use a Suburban\Yukon XL\Expedition EL to carry an average of 7 people , plus their luggage & a small Rack that hooks into the tow hitch for more space ... I have a 2012 Tahoe LT 4x4 and i take it almost once a month to desert for at least 3 hours of offroading

We have a 2016 Tahoe LT with the Z71 package. We mostly drive on pavement on trips to the mountains in upstate SC. We do occasionally take our Tahoe on trails that require light off roading. The only time we use the 4WD in our Tahoe (which is a shame) is when we get a dusting of snow in upstate SC.

"Water fording" that was like 4 inches of water dude. Thats hilarious to a SC boy who grew up "mudding".

I drive a 2007 suburban LTZ with the 6.0l heavy duty engine. I get an average of 12.2mpg. I am a college student driving this but I do live in a small town with a beach you can drive on. So about 4 times a week I drive over sand on Duxbury Beach, Duxbury MA. It handles amazing out there. In fact last week I pulled out a stuck land rover lr4 in the soft sand. I've also towed a 26x8.5 enclosed trailer 1500 miles and it pulled it fine with no problems.

My father uses his 2002 Yukon SLT 4WD as a farm truck.

I have a black 2015 suburban lt, that has a borla sport exhuast, fabtech 6" lift, and black rhino rims w/ bfg ko2 35" tires. Also has a front&rear steel bumper, w/ warn winch, 4 led pods (2 front 2 back on the roof rack), and a front grille lightbar. Tinted taillights with metal covers, black mesh style grill, and last but not least, a westin hdx grill guard. It is so fun to drive and I am always on trails with it. I'm usually just with my dad though. EDIT: It also has a move skidplate.

Lifted my tahoe 3 inches front and back and slapped on some 33x12.50R20 and has been doing great offroading. Also came with a rear locker which helps.

Thanks for this thorough, comprehensive review - and an interesting cultural/historical background to the location! That's my biggest bugbear with a lot of nicely-shot car videos - beautiful scenery and no info given on where it is, so I'm left trying to scan road signs and wayside buildings for any clue. Incidentally, when you say "Imperial gallon", do you mean the 7-pint American gallon or the 8-pint British gallon?

2008 Hummer H3, trips to "loop road" down in the Everglades, ft Myers estero beach, Orlando for theme parks, down to the Florida keys, fishing trips all over town, and cruising with confidence when it rains and roads flood. Especially on Miami Beach when the king tide and rain join to cause flooding that most vehicles can't make it through. Other than that can't think of anything else except mall crawling, garden nursery shopping and groceries ; )

This truck gets respect on the road which is sadly needed on Long Island. Debating on the new 2015 but the price for a chevy has us thinking of going for the Land Rover...

Good to see the tahoe is capable! I’m looking at some kind of alternative to a 4runner, and I really liked the idea of a tahoe for some road trips to moab and around parts of the west coast/midwest. I’m a single guy so it’d be an abundance of space, but that would allow me to sleep in the back pretty comfortably I’d assume!

GM designed the lower airdamn to be easily removed by the average joe for these conditions. They even advertised that when they came out. They knew they made it low for mpg's and that people wouldn't like it once the dirt starts. You should take one off next trip if you drive one again to show everyone how easy it is. Then maybe people would be a little more "brave" when thinking about taking 60K off-road. That would be cool.

We take ours camping pulling a Grand Design Imagine XLS 23BHE. Perfect tow vehicle for this size of a trailer. 2020 RST with a 6.2 liter.

I took my 2007 Suburban with wife 2 kids and the dog to the North Rim of the Grand Canion in June. Took dirt roads and fire roads for 100+ miles on the way from Atlanta Ga. I love my Chevy. Funny thing is I never use 4 wheel drive until I get stuck. I guess it's an of Jeep habit. And the Chevy never gets stuck. Wife didn't like it at all. 2.5 hours of her no happy and the kids laughing all the way. So much fun. 15 - 18 MPG for my old truck.

I have a 2004 Tahoe with the 5.3. I took the third row seats out and lay the second row down flat and put a blow up mattress in the back, so when my girlfriend and I go out on OHV trails we can blow up the mattress and... relax in the back. She likes to sit on the mattress while I am driving on the trails. Love my Tahoe so much!!!

just took 2016 tahoe with around 500miles and my family driving around in blizzard 2016 east coast. factory all terrains auto locker rear. did really great in 12-20 inches of fluff. But front bumper is really low looking into z71 bumper. wife drives truck 110 miles daily committing. so far great truck

To my understanding the live axle is more for towing than independent. Less squatting under load.

We have a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban Z71 4x4. We haul our flat bed trailer with our four-wheelers on it. It does it really easily. We actually haul em' around quite abit.

We have a 2013 tahoe z71 that is mostly driven to work on the highway, but we take it on big road trips several times a year.

For your Question: 06 Navigator 4x4, Daily town driving, off road sometimes, lots of random water stuff since S.C. doesn't like to build ditches for water to go down. Yearly highway drive up north during winter with random snow & ice.

We have a Ford Excursion and we go hunting about 3 times a month and tow our boat with it in the summer. It goes off-road a lot.

These are literally the only American cars i see on the road anymore

I have a 03 Tahoe and we got it because we are big outdoor people I have 4 kids and I need a SUV with the space in it. Yes we take it off road but we don't do the extreme stuff that we do in our land rover disco 2! We will be taking it further this summer but I just thought you would like to know my Tahoe is not just for taking my kids to and from it tows, it goes off road and it also doubles as a window mover because I work for a window company

4 kids 2 dogs, we need the space. Best mpg on a large suv. Beats Sequoia, LC(very durable), escalade on gas. For small families, everything else is cute. Mercedes G500 is the worst on mpg!

you can get bench seats in front in LT, my tahoe has bench seats in the first row and its a LT.

Thank god they kept the solid rear axle.

You're right! For national park expeditions we will use the Tahoe. For soccer and ballet we should purchase a separate mini van- because, you know, the Tahoe can't handle those trips. And because we worry what narrow minded people, who believe others should have different cars depending on destination, might think.

Why on earth would we stop taking it around town just because it has the ability to go off road? Are you suggesting we spend another $30k+ on a minivan for around town and park the Tahoe unless we’re going off road? Maybe that fits in your budget and garage but doesn’t work for your average American family 😂

Plus, one of the main reasons I put my family in a Tahoe is for crash safety. Not the kind of crashes that fit in the safety tests, but serious collisions (high speed rear end or t-bone). Your family is more likely to get crunched and killed in a Honda Accord in these types of collisions. They don’t run tests for getting rear ended by another truck at 60mph. It would completely crush a car’s rear passenger compartment up to the driver’s seat. No thanks. Seen it happen too many times

AZ Jake I saw a head on crash between a Tahoe and Audi sedan on KZread. Everyone died, but the Tahoe was smashed up a lot more than the Audi. These things aren’t as safe as people think they are.

Dads buy these things from mom and the kids for safety. They think bigger cars are safer, and frankly, they are right.

Smaller Crossover SUVs actually have a lower death rate. The Tahoe doesn’t hold up well to crashes with larger vehicles and high speed crashes. In a low speed crash with a small sedan, sure the Tahoe is safer.

We have a 2007 GMC Yukon that we use as our family truck. I am modifying the Yukon to go off-road as well as doing some Overlanding. The one key thing that we love about this truck is that with the third row bench we can fit up to 8 people in the truck. With a family of five plus great grandma and the in-laws we all can head out to Niagara Falls Canada for the day. Then the next day hook up to the boat head out on to the water and take my father in-law on a fishing trip. Really the question to be asked is what don’t we do with this truck. Not much!!! The only thing that I would complain about is that with building the Yukon I’m finding that there is not a lot of custom mods and that I’m having to do most of the custom work myself and that there isn’t to many “off the shelf” parts that are available. But on the plus side our 4x4 off-road overlander GMC Yukon just might be a one of a kind. My wife and I just did a winter overland trip with our Yukon and we loved it. We plan to do more trip like this and also recording our adventures. These trucks are amazing on and off the roads and are very capable vehicles. Great job on the video.

Took my Audi S4 B6 which is lowered only 2-1/2inches off of the ground off roading man that was an adventure all wheel drive sure did help and to be honest I had it on some very frame bending terrain!! In Austin Texas at pal face if that's how it's called.

I own a 2016 Z71 Tahoe and the hp is actually 355 hp with 385 ft/lbs of torque , add approx. 30 hp and the same(30 ft/lbs) for torque when running E85, but who's counting. Nice video though👍

08 Tahoe Z71 here. I use mine for trailering 25' boat in summer and 2 snowmobiles in the winter. I have to say I have never driven an SUV that handles so well in the winter. I trailer the snowmobiles to the Adirondack mountains atleast 4 times a year and have never had a problem holding the road or tackling deep snow and ice. Do they offer a Z71 this year? May have made a better test vehicle. The Z71 came with a different front bumper, skid plates , and suspension. Oh and oil/trans cooler I believe.

MotoManTv, good video but the Horsepower and Torque numbers are wrong. The 2015 Tahoe has the new Direct injected 5.3L V8 which pumps out 355hp and 383Tq.

The better question would be, “what don’t I do with my 01 Suburban LT?” The thing is a freakin beast!

Test drove it. We are getting the Lincoln Navigator after driving the Yukons and Tahoes. Visually I thought the Yukon and Tahoe was nice inside and out. Rear seat is not good for bigger kids or adults in the Yukon or Tahoe where the Navigator definitely does. The floor height is cramped with the solid rear axle underneath in the Yukon and Tahoe, where in the Navigator your feet are not cramped because the Navigator has rear independent suspension. The Yukon and Tahoe doesn't have independent rear suspension so when you drive you notice that the vehicle doesn't have as good of a ride as the Navigator. Steering the Yukon and Tahoe took way more work but I did like the thick steering wheel where the Navigator steered effortlessly. Gas pedal on the Small V8 is so restricted to try and get good gas mileage. The 6.2 was well powered and didn't have the same lethargic gas pedal but on the Lincoln Navigator the throttle response was not just amazing but powerful across a larger power-band. I don't think the 6.2 would win zero to 60 nor do I think the 6.2 could out pull a full trailer as well.

We have a 2010 suburban Z71. We use it for pulling our camper and doing things that irritate you. (Going shopping..etc.) though in the winter it defiantly get used like it was meant! I have driven it though snow that stopped other vehicles in their tracks and driven it on icy roads where few other vehicles dare go. These trucks are needs when you live in rural areas where the roads aren't plowed right away after snow storms that happen all to often in Minnesota. Crossovers just don't do it like a true SUV. Though this new generation is worthless off the highway if you don't remove that dumb rubber air dam. I don't know why GM did that, it gets the same MPG as last generation so I don't know why they did they do that?

It is just hard to improve on a design formula that has been proven.

2015 yukon slt, 6 person family, we take it to the beaches down the oregon coast

We are also a family of nine and suburbans are the only single vehicles that can transport us. We have also taken it on numerous road trips.

Props for doing a real road/offroad test. Thank goodness they kept the solid rear axle. When you go offroad, keep your thumbs out of the steering wheel spokes and please promote proper offroad skills and ettiquette. Thanks for the good review

COSTCO . . . LOVE it.

Anyone know a good place to pick up some skid plates for the Tahoe? Like an aftermarket Z71 package? The junk yards here are pretty slim pickins.

My dad has a toyota land cruiser 2013 and drives me school he has never taken it off road and we have a boat so that comes in handy

I want to know why a guy with an arrow shirt and a sport coat and handerkerchief is talking crap about soccer mom's driving a Tahoe. Other than that it's a good video.

I have a 08 chevy Tahoe we go to football practice and cheer leading practice there is a big water pass when you first enter there is also a lot of rocks and we need to go through a lot of drops we go to the mall and school and the beach and tow a lot of stuff

i have a 2007 mercury mountaineer...and i live in saudi arabia (jeddah to be precise)....this is our only vehicle so ofcorse we use it for daily purposes but once in a year we go on long distance drives and through almost all sorts of terrain...ofcorse being american it might be heavy and filled with plastics but it is practical too...the AWD with the TCS is pretty capable nd the 4.0 v6 feels sufficient....and to be honest here people do take their cars to its limits....also here fuel is not an issue...petrol is cheaper than water! ;)

We're purchasing a 2015 Suburban 5.3 LTZ these days(7 seater with only 10.000 miles). The main reason is because we're expecting kid nr 4 soon, and the Suburban is just about the only(reasonable)car for us with a big enough trunk when you have 3 roads of seatings at the same time. And the car Is also just awesome 😊. We live in Norway by the way, with gas prices "over the roof". We pay just about the same pr L, as the US does pr gallon(1 gallon= 3.6 l.). But then again who gives a crap with a car like that 😅, and the closest we can come a similar car like Suburban, is a Mercedes GLS, or BMW X7 or maybe a RR with long wheelbase. But they aren't even close to the Burban.(correct me if I'm wrong)This is our second Suburban, and the previous one was a 2004 6l with 8 seats. I hope the brand sticks around for the next 100 years more, cause they really know how to make a proper vehicle. And also, by the way, we're not going off roading, except that we have really hush winters up here, with lot's of snow.

I have a 2016 Tahoe LTZ and it is only used in the city.

ive got an 04 tahoe, completely stock and i mob the shit out that thing and it surprises me each time! planning on putting long travel on the front soon

2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Daily driver, and weekend warrior. Goes everywhere from Starbucks to wheeling doorless and topless deep in the Canadian shield. The Rubicon is my first 4x4 purchase, and was essentially my dream vehicle purchase. I did not consider myself a "Jeep guy". I found the older models uncomfortable, they had crap interiors, and didn't have enough room for my needs. 2011 came around and the new interior was awesome. Then a new engine and modern 5 speed in 2012. I started looking into it. It got serious. I knew everything about it, and bought the best off road model, brand new, factory ordered to my specs. I'm pretty sure everyone who buys a Rubicon has grandiose ideas of what they will do and conquer, and that they'll do it all the time. I made my purchase with a little bit of nagging trepidation. Would I actually use it as much as I *felt* I would? Would I even like off roading that much after trying it? Would it be too much work? Would I hate the scrapes and dings? Would I only use it for its intended purpose once a year? Would I even be able to bring myself to take my $45k purchase off road? It's not like $45k was peanuts to me. I scrimped and saved and traded up from a dang Sunfire. No rich boy here. I'm happy to say that after 3 years of ownership, my worries have been unfounded. Within 6 days of ownership I had pin striping down the sides of the vehicle, and had absolutely fallen in love with off road. I have a list of future modifications a mile long in my phone. It's been to off road shows, Jeep meets, stuck to the doors in mud, as well as doing it's daily duty as my run about, all without a complaint. No regrets. I guess I turned out to be a Jeep guy after all.

If u want a REAL off roader, get a Land Rover Defender or a Mercedes G class

Jordan Bell Pretty ignorant statement. The Rubicon is objectively better than both vehicles off road, which has been proven multiple times by many, many world renowned off roaders and adventure travellers. Additionally, I'm in North America, where the Defender is not available, and the G-Wagen is a glitzy swag-mobile. I'm guessing you haven't driven any of the vehicles you're talking about anyway.

Dwealdric my 2014 rubicon interior is so cheap and outdated, my 2007 hummer h3 is way more fancy and more reliable off road thanks to the awd rather than the 4x4 I regret my decision to buy a rubicon from a failing company that's not willing to improve anything as the years go on.

I have a Nissan Xterra body on frame SUV in Pro 4X trim. We use it off road and for hunting as well as a daily driver. The gas mileage is terrible but love the vehicle. Also for off road I'd choose solid axle over independent suspension any day. It's tough as nails and less things to break.

I know it wasn't super extrema off-roading but who goes off-roading in a suit

Use them up on the strip mines in wv.

MotoMan, could you share where you actually started this off road adventure? Thanks and I love the videos! I own a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit 4x4 with the 5.7 HEMI. I have been looking forward to going on an adventure with it.

The very beginning of the journey was of course Los Angeles however the beginning of the off road segment of the journey was the intersection of Highway 330 (City Creek Road) & Old City Creek Road (NF09) in Running Springs of the San Bernadino National Forest. From there - it was a rather twisty trail to Big Bear - if you are not stopping and filming like we were, figure 5 hours.

There is no front bench seat option, but there is a second row bench seat option.

Are the third gen Tahoes like this off road?

I have an 08 Ford Expedition Limited and we take almost everywhere to Elizabeth City's fucked up dirt roads to the mountains in Massanutten Virginia and those are just family trips

How comfortable are the seats. Is ltz worth it?
